The ice-cream was very good but I was a bit disappointed by the interaction. It was my first time there and did not understand the pricing on the menu and when I questioned the total, the response was as if I should have know because the menu was there. Also, one of the kids that was with me got their ice-cream in a waffle cone and when asked for a paper bowl, was told she had to pay for it, which made no sense to me because the two other orders we had were for waffle bowls that were placed in paper bowls. At least everyone enjoyed their ice-cream.

My friend Mtume surprised me with a Bean Pie from Salaam Ice Cream Parlor in Newark, NJ. I must say that this is the BEST Bean Pie that I have ever tasted. Being from Newark, NJ, I've had my share of good ones, this is the absolute best. The pie filling is light, creamy, and custard like. Pure perfection !!!!!! The crust is light and not too thick.
