Steak -N-Take(Fish Truck) — Restaurant in Newark

The man is obnoxious and intentionally rude. One of his kids need to retire him or something. The lady is okay, but there’s a better way to treat people in your community. Courtesy on the phone and in person is a lost skill, and that elderly man is ridiculously rude. I will not patronize this establishment, and I implore the owners to do better.

Just in case I’m not clear, rude as in no phone greeting, no in person greeting. Saying things over the phone like “what do you want”and “that’s it”, then when I arrived at the establishment the window was closed, I knocked loudly on the window for several minutes. It’s still winter. The man selling banana pudding said maybe they’re closed, I said maybe they’re in the restroom somewhere around here, because I called and ordered on the phone. I knocked again even louder and this time I saw someone walking by. I knocked again even louder, and the elderly man finally opened the window. When he finally came to the window, I asked if he heard me knocking, he ignored my question and said how can I help you. I asked again, same response. Then he said he wasn’t away that long. Unapologetic and unbothered, his actions are very distasteful. Luckily for this food truck I was picking up food for my grandmother who “loves” this place and has been “going there for years”. I called in an order 10pc for 29.00 I got to the truck on the Bridge and inquired how many pieces on a fish sandwich and how much is it? I was told 12.00 for 5pc. Ok please let me have that instead. I was told its to late to for you change your mind .I was told we can't do that! After realizing I hadn't payed for it yet she decided to give it to me .So I looked at it before i left and it seemed fine. I got it home to taste that it was salty as ever and unedible .The salt was not in the fish but ALL over the fish on the outside. It was done spitefully . Food is good, but the chick with the bifolds on has the worst ATTITUDE. The truck on Elizabeth Ave has better customer service for sure. Like she takes your money and keeps a conversation going in the back ground and then looks at you like why you still standing in my face - then talks over you handing another customer their food and then asks you to move to the side.
