this is not review ....more of memory. i used to frequent this library back in the 70s. we used to live at #12 Hayes street and every Friday after school, I would walk to this library and come back home with a bag full of books. Mr.. Gregg, who was the library director(?), encouraged my love of reading so much that he got permission from my parents to let me get an "adult" library card so that I could take more books. He did screen what I checked out, of course. I had pretty much read just about all of the books in the children's section, which was on the 2nd floor if I recall correctly. I would spend my summers at the library. I loved that place. We moved from Hayes Street in 1979, right around the time they demolished our building.
