We were heading home to Greenville and saw the good google reviews. We decided to try this place out for dinner (Sat.) The owner was very charismatic and personable, and seemed to be very hands-on. Our waitress was nice and our drinks stayed filled. The owner recommended the mozzarella sticks (not on the menu). We ordered those along with some lemon pepper wings. The mozzarella sticks were gigantic and had an amazing cheese pull. I can honestly say they were the best I've had. Most these days, are tiny and overly breaded. These were fantastic. I didn't try the wings, but my husband and son loved them. The ranch (not sure if homemade) was a bit too mayo forward. Our mains were: Ribeye with caesar salad, mushrooms, and asparagus. My husband cleaned his plate. The steak was cooked perfectly. The mushrooms had great flavor! The asparagus was barely overcooked, but still delicious. Filet with roasted corn and asparagus. My filet was perfectly medium rare, beautiful grill marks, and perfectly seasoned. It was a high quality cut. The roasted corn was really good, as well as the asparagus (slightly overcooked, but still delicious). Shrimp Alfredo was delicious. My son is pretty picky with alfredo sauce, so it's always a gamble. He really liked this and really enjoyed his grilled shrimp. Lastly, my oldest son got a triple burger. You can tell the patties are hand formed. We didn't realize it came with mayo, which he hates. Thankfully, the owner immediately got him a new upper bun and fixings. A solid 5 overall. I wasn't a huge fan of the atmosphere, but the overall rating doesn't reflect that as the food and service were amazing! The food and prices reflect a higher dining experience, while the atmosphere is casual bar. If we're in Newberry again, we wouldn't hesitate to eat here. I like supporting small businesses, so I'm glad we stopped by.

First of all, I will definitely be returning here. It is a fun and energetic atmosphere. The food was all good / excellent quality ingredients and recipes. The tables are larger than standard tables and that is great. You have some space on the table and space from the table next to you. It is not too noisy and not too quiet. You can easily engage in conversation with your table and not be bothered by conversation nearby. We were at the “Clint Eastwood” table right beside the kitchen entrance and were not bothered by it in the least. Obviously a lot of energy went into designing and maintaining the customer experience. Food: all of the food is good or excellent quality ingredients and good recipes. But I have a slight issue with the portion sizes of the apps being very small — specifically the provision of 6 tiny pieces of bread with one of the appetizers we ordered (they’re all good). Jeff (owner / front-of-house manager) remedied this for us personally and genuinely wanted to see the people all around enjoy their visit. What a great guy, honestly. I bought a smash burger (as did my wife and son), and none of them were smashed patties. The quality of the burger ingredients and cook quality made us to not want to complain about this. I only mention it here so someone in the restaurant can look up what a smash burger is supposed to be and make it properly! They’re really tasty! Legends Steakhouse is a great place for a couple for date night, or a family, or a friend group. Newberry is fortunate to have this restaurant.

Wow, what a nice place! We were coming back to Cayce on a Sunday evening and there were not many restaurants open. We are so glad we dined at Legends! The staff was frriendly and attentive, the food quality blew us away GREAT, and the owner Jeff was friendly and chatted with us. He has a a lot to be proud of. It doesn't look like much from the outside being a tenant restaurant in a business strip, but you want to come here for the food. We had the crab cake appetizer and it was two succulent, moist, and rich patties with a gentle sear. With the fantastic aoli on top they just melted in your mouth. We were no where near the coast and folks these tasted fresh caught! We also had a house salad and the Sunday prime rib special and it was a pillowy and tender medium. Perfect! After the first cut we realized all you needed was your fork to devour the rest. The salad was full of veggies and tasted so fresh. Now we are looking for reasons to come back to or through Newberry to eat again at Legends. If we were locals we'd eat here every week. We were so happy with the friendly atmosphere, the great food and Jeff's hospitality. If you want top quality food and friendly service stop by Legends Streakhouse. You will love it!

The pictures really sold a story they didn't live up to. First it called a steakhouse but looks like a sports bar or a Waffle House. Atmosphere was weird but we looked past that. All drinks we got were either flat, nasty or we sent it back and that means lemonade (if you can call it that taste like sink water), sweet tea and I got a tequila sunrise with the OWNER didn't even know how to make but had a bar and no bartender. Ok so bomb no crab cakes, and the shrimp cocktail is grilled (read the small print because that was a shock). Then our new waitress (I don't blame her for anything because she was not properly trained) got our orders wrong. Took the orderes like 5 times then had the owner had to step in again to help. The owner was involved in everything but still clueless on how to run a restaurant. He finalized the tab way before we got our food so the wrong order couldn't be changed and he had to adjust the price with a "discount" . they had no steaks ready for our party, and just when we just had enough of the service and getting told everything we want we can't have we tried to leave. The owner then came back and said we can be accommodated and he will cut fresh steaks (which was kind! but if they weren't properly seasoned or prepped you should have just walked away from the business instead of sending terrible food!!) Next all the food was NASTY. Hard bits in rice, OLD Mac and cheese for my 2 year old daughter that was brown and crunchy. Even she wouldn't eat it and she eats cookies off the floor. all steaks had no seasoning. Like they butchered the cow out back and put in on the grill right after. Complete disappointment with all the meals even the panini. Once we had enough and didn't want to complain anymore (btw only ppl there that looked like us except for in kitchen iykyk) we just got Togo box's and decided not to waste the meat we can make something out of it later and head to McDonald's across the street. We got the bill (again it was wrong but he did try to discount it but again why finalize a wrong check...) so then he yell from The back of the restaurant cash or card, naturally we choose card. He did not tell us until we combed through the bill as to why there was an extra 13.5? Charge for a "cash adjustment" on the bill. He then said it was a change for using card which he nor the waiter (which stopped coming to our table after we had so many issues) told us about. Oveerall the experience was terrible. The owner has no clue what he's doing. The food has zero flavor but it's photogenic lol I definitely give this a 1/10 and lastly the owner said something so racist to another table while we were there. He decided to ask out loud (btw this place is small) do they need anything, the young lady assuming the mom said a fork (context family is Asian American) he then said out loud "fork? I thought you'd want chopsticks... and laughed) that's when we had enough. No tip for a 300$ table (party of 7) that barely anyone ate and this was a trip for a wedding...

If zero stars was an option I would still be disappointed in my own review. Reservation booked well in advance. Arrived to a restaurant full of smoke, no hostess and lines of people patiently waiting to be seated. It took 20 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge our arrival. And even though we had a reservation we were seated after those who walked-in. Not only that we were given the rear back table where smoke was constantly pouring from the kitchen on top of us. After another 15 minutes of waiting at our table with ZERO acknowledgment we asked if a young lady who had done NOTHING but stand at a computer doing absolutely nothing for the entire 30-40 minute period walked by where upon we asked for menus and if she could help us. Either she was a brainless individual or the laziest most clueless and rudest person on the planet. Her attitude was beyond entitled as if we had asked for her to sever a limb. After another 10 minutes of listening to her flippant and rude excuses as to why she could or couldn’t provide menus we left. My son runs 4 extremely successful restaurants and in my entire life I have never had such a horrific experience in a dining establishment. Run don’t walk to another place to eat. Will NEVER go back. As an aside during the total 45-50 minutes we were there not ONE order came from the kitchen- we walked out while looking at everyone in the place still waiting not just for a table but also food. Place should just close down now. Complete lack of leadership, planning or any understanding of a customer service experience. Bad isn’t a strong enough word to describe this sham of a...
