The Gallery Tea Room — Restaurant in Newberry

My husband and I had such a lovely time at afternoon tea today! We drove from Augusta and have already booked our next visit because we enjoyed ourselves so much. The service was excellent, and there are many teas to choose from. I especially appreciate the assistance with whether a certain tea pairs well with milk (if you’re a tea drinker, you know hibiscus will curdle milk). Not every tea room provides such attention and care to their customers! The broccoli cheddar soup was amazing and clearly made from scratch! The fruit course as well as every sandwich, scone and dessert were phenomenal. Speaking of scones, the maple scones were probably the best we’ve ever had! I loved that they have hats for everyone to wear if they choose! I would highly recommend having afternoon tea at The Gallery. I’m so looking forward to our next visit! My bestie and I finally made reservations at The Gallery Tea Room. What a fabulous experience! We got the classic tea which started with tea and a first course of a fruit cup and cheddar and cranberry cheese. Then came our triple tier tower of goodies! Starting with 3 different type sandwiches at the bottom, then scones and bread, followed by a trio of desserts. By the time I reached the top tier, I couldn't finish it all! The food was absolutely delicious and more than filling! When I made reservations I mentioned some dietary restrictions and they were more than willing to accommodate. The whole experience was simply awesome - from the white tablecloth, sugar cubes for our tea, and fine china to a selection of hats and fascinators completing the experience. I had lunch and tea today at The Gallery Tea Room with a friend. It was such a fun and exciting experience. We wore our own high tea hats but if you do not have one the tea room has a rack of hats for you to choose from and wear during your tea experience. The tea was very good and all of the courses served were very good. The table setting was lovely and the staff is very friendly. I can’t wait for our next visit around Valentine’s Day.
