After vacationing in Hilton Head, we were about 1 hr 20 min away from home, as we were Coming into Newberry I Google soul food near me and Blessed by the best came up, we took a chance to try it out, when I say soul food at its best, that's exactly what I mean, the staff especially the cashier was very friendly with a lot of laughter which is good for the soul, we got a chance to meet the owner who was so humble, our food was hot and delicious, the wings were a good size, the cabbage with collards was soooo good( never had cabbage with collards)the gravy over the rice was gravy from back in the day, and that lemonade and tea in the bottle was so good, I had to get a couple bottles to take home, this place will definitely be on my Radar when passing through Newberry when im traveling to Columbia,...

My family is very particular when looking for somewhere that reminds us of home. This place did just that! We felt welcomed, seen & wanted from the moment we were greeted. It was clear that everyone shared the same goal of giving quality service and food. We were not expecting the lemonade to be so crisp and fresh because it’s bottled but it was so good we took more for the road. I recommend them to make it their staple beverage! The food was delicious and portioned just like soul food is intended to be PACKED OUR PLATES!! The price is extremely reasonable. You can tell that this business is FOR the people.
