Waffle House — Restaurant in Newberry

I work overnight shift and every single time I call this store nobody answers it doesn't matter if it's 12:00 in the morning 3:00 in the morning or 6:00 in the morning. And it's so sad because this is a 24/7 restaurant. This time I actually came to the restaurant and called and watched as nobody was in the store they were instead in their car doing absolutely nothing but I guess sleeping or smoking or something. This is the saddest store I have ever seen. Every single day it is the same thing in the mornings anywhere between 11:00 at night to 7:00 in the morning nobody is available to take orders over the phone. They do know that they get paid for taking to go orders right? Better question is how does somebody even still have a job and they don't do their job? And how is the store still open at night time regardless of being 24/7 when you can never ever get your order taken? And how is it they are never ever able to take orders at night time?? Prosperity used to be bad but at least there, they only have one waitress and two Cooks and the waitress might tell you she can't take to go orders over the phone, but at least she...

I showed up at 8:00 in the morning and before I could even sit down and wait on my girlfriend to come in the cook informed me that she was not taken to court she was the only cook before I could even say hi how are you doing or even get a good morning so I left. Then about 2:00 in the morning I got up and was hungry and decided to try it again and the cook was outside with the waitress smoking a cigarette saying that they needed 30 minutes because they were there by themselves and they have not been busy for hours because a friend of mine said that they pass by there previous hour and there was nobody even there. Now this is not the first time that this has happened it happened about a week ago and about a month ago. The night shift is absolutely terrible about wanting to work. They always have an excuse why they can't work either the gorillas down or they don't have a cook and it's the waitress cooking and she needs a break. I'll remember back in 2019 it was just a waitress and a cook all night shift and they made it happen. Nobody works like they're supposed to anymore. I really hate posting this review but I'm hoping someone will see it and address the issue. This was my favorite Waffle House. Our family usually eats dinner here almost every Sunday on my son's way out of town to return to college. The food was and still is spectacular, cooked perfectly, and the cook always asks us how everything is--really nice man. BUT we saw a roach crawling up the side of the booth last week, didn't put too much into it because it was the flying silverfish kind and it can happen (they fly in but shouldn't thrive with proper cleaning and pest control). Then, tonight we sat in the booth behind the one we sat at last week, and I looked across at my son and there was a roach crawling by his head over the side of the booth, the same type roach. Also, they current server staff is very lazy. They don't refill coffee or ask how the food is, if you need anything, or even bring the check so you can pay it. I tip very well, usually 25-30%, and expect decent service in return. There's a female server who won't return to the table after bringing the food and her hair is always very greasy and...
