Banzai Bowls — Restaurant in Newport Beach

Asked for an original acai bowl which they didn't have. So asked for whar they have. They blend the acai berry purree with milk or juice no other option. So I asked for mine with no milk or juice and they said they have to blend it with one or the other in order to be able to blend the acai berry purre. So I said then i asked for the guava juice option and asked to just add a little. So they hand me down my bowl and I go very happy. To my disappointment I get in my car and go my way had a spoonfull my bowl and it tastes like chocolate. Nothing like acai berry purree or at least guava juice. 😡😡😡.... the traffic very bad no where to park because the beach was at full capacity and decided to just buy my favorite bowl to refresh my way back home. 15 bucks to the trash and a very bad service for not seving what i asked for and plus watering down acai purree with juices or milks. I went to this place because a year ago I came to the beach and purchase one and was the original acai bowl very delicious. But this was not the place now that I did my research. It was the one down the street from this one. If you want the authentic acai bowl with the orginal acai purree ice cream like don't come here go to the other one down the street. Its called TRU...

If I could give zero stars I would. They stole 30 dollars from me. My order accidentally processed twice because of a glitch in the app, I get to the store and they tell me that I have two orders and I say that I only meant to order one. I was charged twice on my card. I asked if I could have the bowls that they made extra since I PAID for them already and they said NO, but said I could get a refund if I called them later??? I ended up calling a week later and they told me that there was nothing they could do about it and that they couldn't get me a refund at all and I'd have to refute the payment with my bank??? needless to say my bank wasn't able to do anything about it so I lost $30 on two extra bowls that I didn't even receive. And they never offered me a store credit or anything. The worst part is I know the employees either ate those bowls i paid for after their shift or threw them out. A waste of my money....

Bowls are really good but the customer service is horrible. I always have an issue with customer service at this specific Bonzai Bowl location, but today was the last straw. Today (Jan 2nd @ 11am) when I walked in, I wasn’t greeted. Instead I waited for 5 minutes at the register while being ignored and after those 5 minutes one guy in the back that was cutting fruit the whole time screams, “so are you guys ready yet or what?!” I looked past this because I thought he might be stressed because they had some orders coming in. Half an hour later I walked back in to politely ask for a lid of some sort to keep the rest of my bowl fresh and the same guy gives me an insane amount of attitude which consisted of rolling his eyes, yelling, and had a very angry/unfriendly tone of voice.
