Came here over the weekend for a friend's bday dinner. a member of our party ordered the gnocchi but when it arrived, there was a huge metal staple in the gnocchi (most likely from packaging/box as it was heavy duty). we brought it to the attention of the server who took the food (and staple) replaced it with a new dish. when the bill arrived they had not comped the item so we brought it to their attention and the server got the manager. He came to the table and was like oh we don't know how that would've got in the food could've - been from the boxes but not sure blah blah. we did not take a pic of the staple but asked if the server showed it to him and he said no. they ended up comping the dish and a glass of wine. what was unexpected was the manager did not take responsibility but blamed everything and then also made the person who ordered the item feel like they were making it up. I understand that stuff falls in food at restaurants (ie bugs, hair, etc), and this time it fell in their gnocchi and they should be grateful it wasn't swallowed or could have pierced that person's mouth. It's unfortunate that they were not humble and apologetic and shame on them for not taking responsibility! the food was decent but that experience sucked so we don't plan on...

I decided to go to this place for a Mother's day dinner on a Saturday, upon the recommendation of a colleague. I called in to reserve a place for 4 adults and 2 toddlers, in the day, specifically asking for a booth.
We reached there right on time and stood inside waiting for 10 minutes. There were waiters, bartenders, people from the restaurant walking around without so much as a glance towards us. It was as if we were invisible! The restaurant was not crowded at all ! There were two older couples who came in as we were standing. They were greeted and seated right away.
This place LACKS COURTESY AND BASIC HOSPITALITY. After 10 minutes, I asked a guy whom should we talk to? And he said, "I would have helped you, if I could!" with a tone as if we were there for a free meal or asking him for some change!
As we decided to leave, a waiter came up to us and said we can wait for longer or sit outside. He didn't have any idea about our reservation. It was cold and and windy and we had 2 kids. He left and without even asking us to wait.
The conversation, whatever little there was, was in a condescending tone. We left at once. Never had such an experience...
Read moreTonight’s dinner was absolutely sublime. As a drink, I chose the Pantera Rosa and was delightfully surprised - the texture was smooth, the mixture a delicate balance that pleases the tastebuds but did not overwhelmed the senses. I had the Minestrone, which was delicious. For my main course, I had the Piccata di Pollo al Limone e Capperi. It was sensational. The chicken literally felt like it melted in my mouth and the lemon was just the right amount. It enhanced and did not overpower. The seasonal vegetables that accompanied the main course were done to perfection. I followed up with a dessert named Chocolate Temptation. It was a wonderful cap to the meal. Additionally, all of the staff but especially our server, Giancarlo, were amazing. Giancarlo ensured that we had a lovely and awesome dining experience from the time we walked in the door until the time we left. His recommendations were on point and he was gracious with answering the questions I had. He was amiable, humorous, knowledgeable, and attentive. I would be honored to dine at il Farro again, and I hope Giancarlo would be there to provide service as his presence culminated in a fantastic...
