When you order a sandwich with mayo but you get spicy mayo...
My family and I went down to the beach last weekend and grabbed lunch on the way from this McDonald's. They're tucked into a little gap between this massive bank upon which some multimillion dollar homes overlook the water and PCH. It's a prime location so they stay busy, and that day they had an employee taking orders face to face, to keep the line moving as fast as possible.
I assume this actually helps keep the line moving, that is. As a customer, it stinks; they meet you before you get close to the menu board, so better hope you know what you want. I didn't, so I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich, Mickey-D's latest attempt to keep up with the Chick-fil-As and Popeyes of the world. I order it with mayo, because otherwise you get a dry chicken cutlet on a bun with a couple of pickle slices. With mayo, it's not a bad approximation of a Chick-fil-A sandwich, minus the anti-gay bigotry.
We got our food and, as usual, I ate my fries first (pro tip: ALWAYS eat your fries first; otherwise, they get cold and inedible), and then opened the packaging to see my sandwich slathered in an orange sauce. Oh no. What is this? I got the spicy mayo instead of regular as intended.
A little about me: I'm from Missouri, where "spicy" means a dash of black pepper. My taste buds are not conditioned to deal with much heat, although I'm a little more hardy now after living in Texas and California for the better part of 2 decades.
Nonetheless, I ate the sandwich. I was brave, but sometimes bravery is just another word for stupidity. It's interesting: the first bite wasn't that bad. The tenth bite, and I was getting pretty warm. By the last bite, my mouth was ON FIRE. Tears were streaming. That chocolate milk we ordered for my daughter never made it to her, sorry to say. It's the only thing that saved me from really paying the price...

FYI... Beware because all these franchises don't offer promos.. franchise laws are strict, this protects customers, and franchises, but in this case customers don't know what promos are offered, supposed to be the same at all locations...hummus
Trip #2 / of hundreds...This site won't allow you to post multiple bad reviews, hmmm funny I'll just edit my first then. Again I went to this location but again staffers are rude and inconsiderate! They speak to there own staffers nicely but in Spanish not English but don't have manners with customers. I thought we were in America, they even speak Spanish to each other while I'm placing order, only god knows what the hell there saying at times I think there speaking about me. Not fair not professional, shame on you McDonald's for allowing this to happen. Not giving you my monies anymore...
Trip #1/ of hundreds...Horrible customer service! Rude always don't seem to care as if there unhappy at job? How about you don't work in a environment that you have to have a smile ... Very unhappy, been coming for over 25 yrs because of convience but no longer going to spend my monies at this location, matter of fact any McDonald's! PS... Managers are the rudest, I quess the hire...
Read moreSo this is going to be a weird one. I grew up with this being my local McDonald’s and have plenty of memories going. There is a kid all the way up until now. Typically they are pretty chill and everybody just kind of moves along, and typically there is no drama. However, the other day I walked in and attempted to place my order with a woman at the front, This is where things took an immediate left turn. She was straight up, mean to me and to every other customer who was just walking up to ask her a question. And I mean not like in a Karen way, I mean more like she went out of her way to miss hear what people were saying, and would reply in an angry way. What makes it even worse, is Once I had placed my order, I stood in the back of the restaurant and had an eye on the kitchen itself just waiting. Well, I watch this same mean, lady pick up a bag from the counter, turn around, and dumped half of it onto the ground accidentally. I watch her squat down and pick up a cheeseburger that is laying on the kitchen floor outside of its rapper, re-wrap it in the same paper, while on the ground, then put it back in the bag, where she thought nobody would see her do it and handed it to the customer around the corner. I mean. Guys. I get everyone has bad days…...
