Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Newport

BUYER BEWARE!!!!I've been ordering from this Dominos for over a year... What started great and way above expectations has turned far for the worse!!!!! (a year ago) I just finished with my first order from this Domino's and I must say, I'm impressed. I never ordered food delivery online anywhere before and the process was fairly straight forward and easy. I called their number to ask one question regarding the cheese used if I chose grated Parmesan/Asiago and she politely responded that all other cheeses listed on the online ordering form are in addition to the Mozzarella base cheese. I have had bad experiences with most pizza places using a "cheap" italian sausage, so I don't even try ordering it any more. I also avoid the jalapeno and banana peppers, not because I don't like them, but because I don't like them in burgers, subs, or on pizza. Same with the hot sauces... I want to taste the meats , not the hot sauce!!!

Upon review of their specialty pizzas and noting my preferences above. I went the Build Your Own route with some skepticism. I ordered a Large Pepperoni, Mushroom, & Onion w/ Bacon, grated parmesan/asiaggo and marinara sauce. They absolutely nailed it!!! Goodly portions, and a well balancing of the flavors. I asked my delivery driver to take the pizza to the table for me because I walk with a cane and find it somewhat difficult to carry something and walk without it. He was well mannered, clean, neatly dressed, and very accommodating. The pizza was hot... not burn your mouth on melted cheese and sauce hot, but hot. I'm new to the area and will be trying/testing other places but this Domino's will definitely be at the top of my list as my "when in doubt", fall back position.

I highly recommend it.

Within the past few weeks there have been FAR TOO MANY HUGE ERRORS!!!!!

1. Driver delivered a pizza pile and not a pizza pie. Half the pizza had separated into one, three, and four slices with both smaller sections severely overlapping the remaining half of the pizza!
2. My Chicken Carbonara arrived as half of a two for $5.99 coupon order. I opened it for lunch the next day and there was no Bacon, mushrooms, or onions!!!!!! These three ingredients are absolutely required.
3. I redeemed 60 pts and paid the extra for a medium pan pizza and what arrived at the house was a pizza with the top half of the crust raw and still gooey either from never having baked properly or from soaking up too much liquid from the other ingredients... Either way... THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE!!! Half of it was thrown out shortly after staving my hunger.
4. Chicken Carbonara was delivered with an ingredient that is not supposed to be there... It had thin sliced green bell peppers too.
5. and Today, 17 May 2017, My 8 piece wings included that tiny skin and bone wing TIP as one of the 8 wings/drummies!!!!! 4 wings... three drunmmies, and a skin and bone tip!!!! I have very recently found out that TimeOut Sports Bar also delivers within a 5 mile radius FOR FREE, whereas Dominos charges $2.25... FOR WHAT???? TO CONSTANTLY AS OF LATE DELIVER WHAT I DID NOT ORDER!!!! AND ONLY 1.8 MILES AWAY? They originally received 5 stars from me and all in balance counting many months of great service and great food... This last 2 1/2 months of some of the worst service I have ever seen drops them to a total rating for the 1 1/2 years I 've been ordering from them of only 2 stars. Make that one star... I complain in their surveys about my most recent order and they never bother to contact me though they obviously have my number.

BTW... TimeOut's number is 223-3303 And they have REAL chicken wings!!!! And pretty darned good REAL crab balls with Aioli sauce... Still haven't gotten the nerve to try a soft shelled crab sandwich but that day is coming thanks to...

Posting in a new chapter of post-apocalypse drifter herbsttrauer: Lost, both in purpose and in this now rare modern concept of virginity of a forest, I find an above average exploitative rendition of a Mediterranean cuisine. The buzz word of gluten and meat, I suppose. Lost like the morose spoken words of yesteryear's Oxford Comma. A coma in the mouth of an unironic, uninformed youth in our beautiful "Manifest God. Manifest Me As YOUR God" land in these modern twists and tangles of the spoken word. Tangles and thorns adorned in this macabre seeking purpose through expense. Well, here... here we find the precipice of our culture and economy. Each visit I find a new face that is kind, skilled, yet sadly replaceable in this downturn of economy before war. They are decent. The food: decent; above average but only with the vaudeville showmanship of revolving door hiring. Too many people, evasion of responsibility. Now we sing the song of convenience as we settle and satiate. Let us ritualistically abide and beget such unto the horses and King's men. So mote it be. Be bloated and content. This hostel has served its divine purpose of an expensive promise of a possible tomorrow. Both quite adequate and vague in comfort. Edit: For real though, I just got the best pizza I've had anywhere in at least 10 years. I ordered chicken and bacon with bbq sauce instead of tomato sauce and whoever made this deserves a...

Our delivery experience was right on. 🤙🏻 Kid who took my order over phone(had to call bc website says delivery is not an option even though it is- so call if your address says it doesn’t work for delivery online) was very helpful- he did not “up sell” though- I was sad when I realized I had forgotten to add garlic butter sauce to the order… it wasn’t ever suggested- which is fine bc the food was still perfect. (He may not have wanted to up sell bc I was asking if there were any coupons so maybe he was being thoughtful and not pushy) All in all though I’m still happy- food was great and my pockets were a wee bit padded after ordering. 😄Our order was exactly right and upon delivery it was still very hot. Delivery driver was also very professional and clean cut. Bravo to one of the very few places in Carteret County that can get the order right on the first try...
