The restaurant was decorated in your typical southern charm decor you’d find at Hobby Lobby, but my family and I were looking forward to the food that we’ve heard great things about. Immediately walking in the front door, we were met with small hallway another door with an intense flickering light above us. After being seated, we waited for awhile before our waitress came to take our order. Our appetizer (fried pickles, fried mushrooms, and onion rings) came out at a decent time, but all were extremely greasy and did not have much flavor. Suddenly, a waitress dropped another table’s plates and food. Although they were somewhat quick to clean up the plates, the food remained on the floor until we left (an hour later) and that table was never cleaned. When ordering our main meals, our waitress insisted that all our meals came with both a side salad , soup, and two sides. I ordered a “Foxey Lady” 6oz filet, a side of fries, and a side salad. After waiting over thirty minutes for our food, both of my parents received the wrong meals. When mentioning it to our waitress, she began to become flustered and took some time to replace only one of the meals. My steak also came cut up into small pieces, so all of the juice covered my place and caused my already soggy, unseasoned fries to become even more soggy. When pointing out that my steak was cut up, our waitress claimed this was “medallion cuts.” For $25 “filet,” I was disappointed that there was no flavor to be found. The whole time eating, our drinks were never refilled and we never received our soups or salads. Only my dad’s drink was refilled after we had finished eating. His drink (coke) was so watered down at this point that the waitress asked if he would like a refill of sweet tea. During all of this, we watch a table who came later than us receive drinks, appetizers, meals, and refills all while we were still waiting on our food. Although we never received part of our meals, we felt it was best to not mention it because the fight was not worth it at that point. Despite all the great reviews Fox and Hound has, our experience has caused us to never step foot in the restaurant again and we will never suggest it to others. What a...
Read moreI am not a steak lover I am a meat lover. Mostly cheese burgers and mac and cheese is what I grew up on and let me not to forget Coke products where only allowed at our house. I was wanting a ribeye for some odd reason. Found this hidden gem on goggle and off we went. Walked in to be seated and was loving the farmhouse vibe. Every one was super nice and I ordered a huntsman ribeye with French onion soup and a loaded baked potato. Boo ordered us a spinach dip appetizer with pita chips. I also had to try a side of the mac and cheese. You would think by all that I would have been starved for days. The spinach dip was good and fantastic. The French onion soup was fantastic 😋. The ribeye was cooked medium it was on point. Cooked perfectly 👌 compliments to the Chef. I also got a salad I didnt touch brought it home. The baked potato looked fantastic not touched it yet either. My eyes overloaded my belly yall. The mac and cheese was perfection also the right amount of to much cheese and so creamy. Boo got prime rib and home fries. He gets the prime rib a lot i have never seen a large piece so thick and juicy. He said it was good they He over stuffed himself. He told me to roll him out in a wheelbarrow. Excellent food and waitress. The only negative was the table behind us had a Karen and Ken I think is what everyone calls them. They complained just to complain and then would talk about the waitress. I apologized to their waitress for them. Bless them they should have stayed in west Virginia. They have a small sign at the road we missed it the 1st time and had to turn around. It's a past the trailer park on the left. It's definitely excellent food and great...
Read moreAWFUL!! We took our son to celebrate his sixteenth birthday...they ruined it. I had called earlier and been told that they don't do anything special for birthdays, but to ask for a specific server, and she would do something for him. After we were seated, I approached the three waitresses standing at the front and told them of my earlier call; I asked for the waitress I'd spoken with; I was very abruptly informed that "they do apple cobbler" (or something similar, don't remember exactly) for birthdays. They were rude and not one cracked a smile even though I was being friendly, hoping for a good night for my son. They went on to celebrate two other adult birthdays, while we waited endlessly to even be served appetizers. Still we were friendly and patient realizing the restaurant was very full, but then the waitress disappeared...no service or drink refills for over half an hour. At that point we had been waiting an hour and a half for some very simple dinner orders... My husband checked on the food and we were told they needed another ten minutes at which point he requested the check. At first they agreed but then we were rudely informed that our dinner was being plated; and I mean RUDELY! The cook came out and was absolutely arrogant, argumentative, and after we expressed our displeasure and said we were leaving, he had a few choice things to say, ending with "don't ever come back!" Like we would want to!! I wish I had paid heed to the bad reviews I read online... We are certainly not the only ones to have trouble with this cook, but our son was set on trying this place. Absolutely disgusted with the treatment...
