Just picked up from car side in newton. My daughter is having surgery tomorrow and won’t be able have solids for a couple weeks. So I decided to get her a meal from anywhere of her choosing. I ordered our food including boneless hot wings. Pulled up to car side waited less than two minutes and was even early. Couldn’t believe how fast I got it. Waitress dropped food off to the first car then came to mine. I received it gave her my card and went in to charge it. Drove home started handing out the food and my wife and daughter asked where the boneless wings were. Turns out they were not in the bag. So I checked the receipt to make sure they were on there which they were.
I called Applebee’s and keep in mind this is not the first time they forgot the wings. This is the second time my daughter did not get wings. The last time I ordered they were missing as well which was a few months ago. I was upset because putting a child through surgery is a tough thing so why shouldn’t she get what she wants. A women answered and I explained what happened she was very sweet and got the manager. I explained to the manager and told him it wasn’t the first time. He said oh ok please hold on. Then the waitress the brought the food out answered and immediately said “I put in the bag” she explained that she put it in the white bag and that she remembered that because the other customer had wings to and she put there’s in a white bag as well. She I checked with my wife and daughter to see if we missed it, and nothing. I let her know that we just checked and in a annoyed voice she said well I put it in the bag. And I said well it’s not in there. And she came back a little more annoyed well it out it in the bag. And I said apparently it’s not in there. She then handed it back to manager and manager gave me a few options. Free app, my order with a free desert, or a refund of that item. I asked if they could deliver because it’s 20 mins away from my house and my daughter was having surgery and this is the last solid meal she can have for a few weeks. No remorse didn’t even care. Said no we don’t deliver. Note: I ran to the truck and even checked in car it fell out of the bag. I told manager I am not coming back out because I want to spend time with her before tomorrow and please refund. Very monotoned no emotion no simpathy. Seemed like he didn’t even want to deal with the situation. I was still aggravated with how the waitress handled it and asked to take to 20% tip off which was $13. He said it is not on the order but will make sure that it is not placed. We will see if that is that is the case or they will have to deal with chargeback.
Moral of the story I was trying be a good dad and have everything perfect for her. And then got attitude from the waitress. How about I’m sorry. I made a mistake like the first time it happened a few months ago. I wouldn’t be writing this if it was handled better.
P.s. why would I come in to get my replacement when I can’t trust that the waitress isn’t going g to be spiteful and spit in my food. Can’t say it doesn’t happen because I a person there that use to brag they when they saw people they don’t like they would spit in there food.

From the moment my boyfriend and I walked in, we were waiting for someone to greet us and seat us. We stood waiting for about five minutes before a woman did. She greeted us with a smile and seated us promptly there after, and we were ready within a couple minutes to order. Our waitress(remaining nameless) came over to take our orders fifteen to twenty minutes after we had been seated. I guess that's not bad, but we had already been waiting for five minutes prior to even sitting down. I digress. After taking our drink and food orders, she disappeared into the busy restaurant. After a few more minutes, she came back with our drinks and appetizer and disappeared into the back again. Our wings were all of varying temperatures and one felt like it was mostly fat and little meat. It's important to note that while receiving our little appetizer plates, we only received our forks. At the time, it wasn't too much of a big deal. But, I mention this because my boyfriend got the bourbon street steak and needed a knife to continue eating. He waited about thirty minutes before we had an opportunity to flag our waitress down and get a knife. Throughout all this time, she was nowhere to be found. He and I searched for all 30 minutes and she was never visible. Now, I also want to note how small the steak was(attached photo, boyfriends hand for scale), and it was twenty-two dollars. Not a lot of steak for the astronomical price. To continue, my boyfriend finally got his knife and finished his meal. I finished mine within a couple minutes of him, but we waited another ten minutes before she showed up to take our empty plates. Then followed by another ten minutes of waiting for the check. Thankfully, waiting for the card was only about three to five minutes. After that, we left.
Overall, very poor experience. Poor wait service, and more terrible food scores to Applebee's. Definitely will not be returning anytime soon, and I wouldn't if I...
Read moreIf I could give them zero stars I would. This past Saturday my wife and I contracted food poisoning from this place due to us both eating chicken. Sundays are the only days I get to spend with my wife due to our work schedules. We decided let's order a reputable take out and enjoy your food home with a good movie. Well long story short, we were both very upset by the food. I got the boneless buffalo wings (they felt squishy) I'm not a chicken guy and I was oh well maby the sauce made it softer than usual. So I ate it. Needless to say I spent my entire Sunday fighting my wife over the bathroom. She called higher ups and all they did was offer a free appetizer. Needless to say after all these years were are breaking ties and never eating from there again. That was incredibly upsetting, I mean getting sick from a well known place after spending so much money. This place has never made my steak right once in about 10 years. The only reason why we have returned is because my wife and I equally work long and tough hours and we do not want to cook when we finally get home. I am absolutely sick of this place and now I put my foot down. Never to return. First of all, I cannot eat red meat unless it's fully cooked due to health issues. This place makes absolutely no effort to accommodate an accurate order. I constantly order well done beef. They make no effort to check it. From now on I promise they have lost about 15 customers due to my friends and family frequently dining there. It still deeply upsets me that all they did was offer a free appetizer. I hope they know that they could have costed me my life due to neglect. I never thought I'd have to pursue them to auctually read the orders. Very sad. Long story short, screw applebees.
