I'm a frequent Starbucks person. So I've seen when a store is run well. This one is terrible. Last week they gave me a different drink than I ordered from the drive thru and I thought "no big deal these things might happen." Today, I placed a mobile order and went inside the store to get it. I was really genuinely surprised at what I witnessed. There were five or six people working and literally ONE doing anything. It looked like one guy was maybe working very slowly on drive thru orders but there was this other woman who was franticly "making drinks" for the five people waiting on their mobile order. Literally at least three people standing behind the bar doing nothing. This girl who was working was getting sugar and syrup all over her face so kept on touching her face and continuing to work. She was asking people waiting what they wanted instead of just looking at the labels on the half dozen cups next to her. When she finally got around to mine, she gives me a cup for a hot drink with just milk and chia in it cold. Not what I ordered and not even a drink. I was so surprised. Unfortunately I didn't have time to correct it because I was in a hurry, like most people who place mobile orders. Most disappointing $6.13...
Read moreOK was extremely excited for this location to open. Some people look forward to a good cup of coffee! All 3 cups I've gotten are literally mostly steamed milk! Idk if people get trained to make coffees, but they should.... measurements matter here! I brought back (because I had time) one cup and inside is beautiful!! Someone remade my coffee and it tasted fine, great. I am a patient person but just make the coffee correctly!!! Everyone's comments, even for sparta, is about the time they wait. Maybe mobile orders shouldn't be a thing starbucks. It's like those get the most effort. Then drive thru is rushed and made poorly. Franklin is probably the best starbucks location. Always great tasting. Hard to think it's the machines when they're brand new here at newton but maybe !! Hopefully someone who matters sees this and steps up their coffee game. Read moreWent there today at 4:55 and went inside. I ordered one small drink and waited about 30 minutes and kindly asked an employee if it would be done soon. Meanwhile the orders at the drive thru are flying out the door, people coming after me leaving with their drinks…She didn’t really have an answer and moved on. Finally after waiting 45 minutes I went up to the checkout counter and told them what’s been happening, I was really nice just frustrated bc I don’t believe in being rude to people… She told me the mobile orders are coming soon I told her no, I ordered right at this counter literally 45 mins ago, I have somewhere to be, I understand 15 mins at most for one drink, not as fast as Dunkin of course, but this is absolutely absurd. I kindly asked for a refund and the employee did without hesitation and endlessly apologized. I just couldn’t fathom waiting any longer as I had somewhere I needed to be.
