Gave Gino’s a try based on all the good word of mouth I was hearing. Called at 6:30 on a Friday and was told it would be an hour for take out. I wasn’t surprised or upset. I thought must be really good so we said yes. Showed up at 50 minutes, gave them my name and number and they said it wasn’t ready yet. No problem, I’m early. As the time ticked by, and they asked my name again, turned out they had gotten it wrong, because my order was ready the entire time. Then for some reason they have to re-enter your order into their touch screen to check you out, they figure out that one of my pizzas has been made incorrectly - and the order ticket had it correctly (omitted a topping). They’ll correct it they say. More waiting. With great anticipation I arrive home. In short - extremely disappointed. We didn’t finish either pizza, and for the first time ever, the leftovers went straight to the trash. The crust was cardboard, the sauce and cheese average. Newtown has so many good pizza places - My Place, Carminuccios, Francos, to name but a few. We will not...
Read moreMade order online. Came after it was supposed to be ready. They had not even started. Super rude, told me to cancel order online if I can’t wait. Never trying them again.
Reply: I absolutely did not arrive early. I arrived after order was supposed to be ready you just had not noticed it come in and you never started it. That was YOUR mistake that you never took any responsibility for (and apparently still aren’t willing to). I told the person working the register my kids are in the car and can’t wait 30 min for food so how did you think I’m a delivery driver.. You also never refunded my order which you said you’d do when I called you later, so you essentially took my money and gave me nothing since like I said I couldn’t wait 30 min in a car with screaming kids. Maybe spend more than a second talking to me and you would have understood I’m a customer. You’re rude and have horrible service. Never coming in again. Not like we have a shortage of pizza options...
Read moreTerrible experience. Despite making clear that I was celiac, verifying that what I wanted to order was or could be made gluten free, I was still served breaded chicken on my pizza. The chicken wasn't visible as it was covered in cheese and I are a whole piece before seeing the error. The manager comped the pizza they screwed up, not the meal, and took 50% off the bottle of wine. The manager then blamed the teenage server despite the fact that someone in the kitchen pulled a gluten free pizza crust from the freezer and didn't stop at any point to question the breaded chicken they were placing on it. This failed at so many levels and the staff clearly needs some additional training. I spent the next 6ish hours in agony and another few days if discomfort. We...
