One 20 - A Modern Bistro — Restaurant in Niceville

This makes me very sad to have to post this review but I think it needs to be said and hopefully the staff and owner will take it seriously and make some changes. I have really loved this restaurant for many years probably my favorite place to eat in town,but I have to say the quality of the food has going down the last several times I have been. I was willing to say it was just a bad day but it has been disappointing the last three times. As far as choices on the menu and freshness of ingredients. This was something One 20 bistro had been known for. The final straw for me is that they are now going to be charging extra for their iconic french fries and sauce. They do give you the first one for free but after that they will charge you extra. This is so sad as this is something that made this place special and unique and I won't lie it's a big reason I would choose to go. I really think they are making a big mistake 😔 if you have more then two people the they are gone in an instant. It is like an Italian restaurant charging extra if your table wants more bread during the meal. Such a shame. It seems like a small thing but combine it with a decline in the freshness of the food and snippy waitresses it's just to much. Hope they will go back to their previous standards. Superb service, delightful gourmet food, in a nice setting of cushioned seats. They really brought the outside in for decor. Just picture yourself on a Lanai, but your in the building. Interesting hanging decor as well with accent lighting. Don't forget to check out the fish tank.. see if you can spot the shrimp 😃 This is another new favorite of ours, for sure! Don't pass this place by. We went on a Thursday late, not crowded and no reservations needed. Don't forget to make a reservation for the weekends thru Open Table for Fri, Sat and Sunday. They are also open this Monday for Valentine's Day. Don't forget to leave room for a dessert.. delectable delights to savor like peanut butter mousse pie. I had the Shrimp and Grits and my husband had the Grilled Pork with Creamed Collards and sausage.. both were amazing! Menu changes often so many items that you can choose from over time. Instead of bread they offer fries for the starter on the table.. You can upgrade them to "Must Try" White Truffle Parmesan Fries! I could make a meal out...

Food was ok. Waitress was great. Were spoiled though that's how I cook at home. It was a little heavy handed on salt. The dip for fries -great. I had prime rib pork.it was a work out. He had pork chops. We traded. I could eat them. Loved the Brussels sprouts. We have been back, I think they have worked all the quirks out, again the waitresses were very knowledgeable and very understanding and totally enjoyed them my dinner was cooked to proper temp this time and I really enjoyed the bag that the dressing taste like it had a little bit more love. I want to change my star rating from A3 to A4 because I do believe for the town in the atmosphere this is really a good restaurant to just hang out with the locals enjoy a few fresh local brewed beers and a pretty damn...
