Taco Town To Go — Restaurant in Niceville

This is what you would call one of those grandfathered in restaurants. It's a great place for non authentic Mexican food. The food is okay sometimes. I guess it just depends on what day you go and how they prepare it. As for the atmosphere the one in Niceville needs a little work. Now don't get me wrong... When you walk in it's extremely small. And I'm guessing that's okay because of its location but the decor is what gets me. It's alright to put dollar bills on the wall because it gives it more of a homely lived-in look because it shows the towns appreciation for their business but when you put your money on the wall I'm guessing you wanted to stay there. The place that you put it. But since we haven't been there in quite a while the last time we went my money that I put on the wall was moved. That actually kind of upset me a lot. I spent 30 minutes and was late for work from my lunch trying to find all of my money and put it back. The thing is there should be no reason why my money was removed from the place that I put it. Not only was it taped to the ceiling but it was stapled to the ceiling. So the excuse of... It fell, was unexcusable. Because that would be a lie. Anyway from the naked eye the place looks pretty clean. But you can tell that it's old and worn down. Also the staff that work there have a unacknowledged sense of there around indoor surrounding people. Since the place is so small we can hear and see everybody in the back. So when they're having their own work-related issues we can hear their discussions. And sometimes they can be a little loud. And speaking on things that are not work related. I believe that if they clean the place up a little bit more it would be a really great place to stop in for a quick bite to eat. Also they really need to...

A lot of really good reviews convinced me to try this place, but was super disappointed and appalled. The food smelled really good and was very affordable, but both the workers handled all the ingredients without gloves. One of the workers had been seen previously outside smoking and came right in without washing her hands before ringing us up and then preceding to make the food. This was very shocking. We really wanted to try the food, but not at the risk of becoming seriously ill. Food safety is no joke. Therefore the food was trashed and we went elsewhere to get dinner. 2024 Food qualify went down hill while price went up quite a bit and not much service to be mentioned. The woman manager/staff at this location was not friendly at all and acting she was bothered by her customers. Very rude. Better support the other location at FWB. Do not care about cash only policy! Won't come back!

2023 We try to support local place as much as we can. Unfortunately, food quality and service has been going downhill quickly. We will go somewhere else.
