I was really excited about the new opening of 85°C Bakery. Unfortunately, while the product is still great when you can actually get your hands on it, the execution at this new location leaves a lot to be desired.
If you’re planning to come right at opening — don’t walk, run. The doors open at 9:00 AM, and by 9:01 AM, the shelves are practically wiped clean. People rush in and load up trays with piles of buns, often buying in bulk, leaving almost nothing behind for anyone who comes in even a minute later. It’s chaotic and disappointing for customers who just want a couple of their favorite pastries.
The checkout line is always long, often snaking down the side of the store, and while the young staff are clearly trying their best, it’s obvious the store is still figuring out how to run efficiently. They’re under pressure, and you can feel it.
Hoping for a better experience, I returned in the late afternoon — thinking they’d restock — but the counters were completely empty. Not a single bun in sight. It’s incredibly frustrating that such a popular spot isn’t prepared for the demand, especially during a grand opening phase.
The quality of the baked goods themselves is not in question — they’re great if you can get any. But right now, this location is not ready for the volume of customers it’s attracting. They really need to step up production and better manage the flow of traffic and restocking. Until then, expect long lines, empty shelves, and a...
Read moreChanging it to all one Stars. Also to add more to the fact that you stacked the box with so much Ube bread that I didn't request for. What was going on in the mind of the person packing my order. I'll pack it to the brim with ube bread and hope the don't ask how much or how many is in the box. I could tell there was a lot stacked in there because the box was barely closed. I ordered an Ube cake and came early to even pick it up. 1:30 pm was pick up time and I was there roughly 1:20 pm
I inquired about my order and all of the employees were frantic.
Next thing you know they gave me this big box "Ube Bread" I asked for an Ube cake and that one would be ready for me at 1:30 pm.
Again, I was not going to start a big fight in the store regardless of the miscommunication. I want you to know as an establishment. I will be talking to Vic (Personal friend of mine ) and all the influencers about this mishap.
That's crazy that you mistake Ube cake for Bread and also my entire party was pissed that I didn't get the cake that they gave me money for.
I feel lied and cheated coming to this store.
Sincerely, -Xhaiden ( Tribe 3 Productions)...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is our second time visiting this bakery. The first time we came, we were a bit disappointed because there were no breads left when we arrived. But after attending mass last Sunday, my mom, her friends, and I decided to give it another try. We even drove an hour just to visit this place near HMart in Niles.
It was busy (as expected on a Sunday), and everyone was grabbing breads left and right. My mom’s friend was a little confused about what to get, but then one person really stood out! The Asian guy in a red shirt and eyeglasses (i forgot to ask his name Lol). He is the definition of great customer service! Even though he was busy running around refilling shelves, he still took the time to answer my mom’s questions with a big smile. He even went to the back to check if there were more breads and tarts available. It’s rare to see that kind of genuine service nowadays!
Compared to our first visit, this time was so much better. They have a great selection of breads, all freshly baked and super delicious. And their tarts, especially the mochi one, are...
