Lincoln Cafe — Restaurant in Niles Township

I stopped by for a quick lunch on the go, and received prompt, courteous service once I figured out where the ordering line was. Bought a grilled vegetable wrap and a cup of coffee. The wrap was served cold (the way I wanted it), and the veggies were just the right ratio of crisp to tender, with a wonderful, smoky flavor. I'm only sorry I didn't grab a few extra napkins, because as expertly wrapped as the filling was, there's just no way to keep little delectable bits from falling out while you eat. But I got what I came for: a tasty, filling, refreshing lunch for a hot afternoon.

It would be unfair of me to comment on the coffee, as I didn't start drinking it until I'd eaten half the wrap, which had plenty of yummy onions and spicing in it. That's going to throw off the taste of even the best cup of coffee. Suffice to say that I've bought regular coffee here before, and it's far better than average.

My only regret was that it was relatively late for lunch, so I didn't indulge in one of the phenomenal pastries that were on display. They're big and very tempting, but I knew I'd throw off my dinner schedule if I ate one. I've had the pastries from here before, and they're so good that it takes more willpower than I possess to eat just half and save the rest for later....

I stopped in to get some gas and noticed the cafe sign. I grabbed one of their delicious looking pre packaged salads and went to wash my hands so I could enjoy my meal in my car. The area in and around the bathroom was disgusting. There were flies and paper everywhere. The sink inside the bathroom had no soap. There is however another filthy dirty sink just outside the bathroom. I chose not to eat after see the condition of the facilities and overall building. The owner should be ashamed of himself for forcing employees and guests to use that bathroom. Please do better because the cafe...

The Beyond Philly cheesesteak was beyond underwhelming. I ordered inside and got my sandwich which didn’t have any onions, peppers or mushrooms as advertised. Only had the jalapeños I asked to be added and there was more cheese than anything else. It took them long enough to cook it you’d think it at least had the toppings. They also didn’t have their full menu on the boards inside and all the prices were missing. Was My first time here and I wouldn’t go back based on this experience. Nearly $15 on a bad sandwich with no sides...
