Stopped in last evening because I saw the Friday fish fry banner.

Ordered the cod with crinkle fries with extra tartar sauce; been wanting fish and chips for a while! Had hot tea with honey while waiting. Came in a mug (I was expecting a small pot of water) and it hit the spot!

Instead of the soup of the day, I ordered their chili. It was $1 upcharge but I knew it would be worth is since I had tasted it before during a Niles Chili Walk. Mild and meaty!

The "fish and chips" platter was ample. I didn't think I could eat it all, and I certainly didn't ask for more (AYCE)! Perfect fries (oven baked, I think. forgot to confirm). Co0d was well-crusted, tender and flaky inside. Slightly watery. But then again, it's not like it's a lake fish that we can fry up right after catching. So, I will go back another time for more!

We didn't realize dessert was included, so we declined. But when someone else ordered rice pudding, we changed our minds! Mine came with a cinnamon sprinkle, but whipped cream topping is customary. Yum!

All in all, a good meal. Simple decor and unpretentious seating. Fast, friendly service, who greet regulars by name (including my dinner companion) and make the rest of us feel welcome. Also seems very clean.

UPDATE: 5/17 went for lunch. Is this normal? Order Dr. Pepper & decaf coffee waitress brought drinks. I asked is that decaf coffee? Clearly was not in the recognized orange café. She told me "Yes!" benefit of the doubt I said I hope so. Next, we wait for our burger and club sandwiches. Another waitress serves my husband's burger to another table. We watch as that waitress then goes back the burger from the other table goes back towards the kitchen pickup window and hands the burger plate to our waitress. Our waitress brings to our table. Yes, we should have left. Then my husband watches as my club sandwich makes its way past us and back to another table. Our waitress must have been delivering another plate of food. Again benefit of the doubt. She brought the club sandwich back to our table. She asked if I wanted a refill of coffee I said yes. She brought regular pot back. I said again decaf? Oh right, she went back and got the decaf pot! Yep, you know it as the orange cafe. I told the person at the counter when we left.

Breakfast was good with friends for a couple...

Food wasn’t all that good, my girlfriend had ordered a Hot Beef Sandwich. I myself had ordered the Fruit Plate as for me; The fruit plate was decent, but as for the Hot Beef Sandwich.. it wasn’t all that good. The gravy was dry and when she ate a piece of the beef she said it tasted odd like it was a bit old.. As for told me this I myself had took a bite of the beef and it was just as she said.. tasted odd.. so we just ate what we could and asked for the receipt it came out to the total of 21.90 or what we had assumed the total would be ..as I went to pay she had put in the total 27.14 I checked the order again and both items were as follows ; Hot Turkey was $12.99 and the fruit plate was $10.99 we added it up and the total was 23.80 I had asked if there was a card fee or anything she had responded with “no”. Overall place ain’t that great they add tips on the bills and give food and have stuff in their cups.. I had to ask for two cups of water cause I seen stuff in the water like brown little...
