Cottage Inn Pizza Niles — Restaurant in Niles

Like others I REALLY wanted to like this place because they have some toppings that other places in Niles don't offer. But after ordering 4 times from them with very bad results, I'm DONE! There was something wrong with every order. No dressing with salads, wrong toppings on pizzas, bread sticks instead of the round cheese bread, etc. Delivery takes well over an hour (closer to 2 hours), NONE of the specials on the Cottage inn website or emails seem to work in Niles, and their delivery drivers are both stupid AND rude. I couldn't believe the absolutely SMASHED pizza boxes from the last (and final) order from them. We had to eat the pizza by scraping what we could off the box lid. One of their drivers told me that my house was too hard to find. The last one stood at the door for I don't know how long before I walked past and saw him. I said "why didn't you ring the doorbell" and he said "I like to just knock on the door..." WHAT???? Niles has NO shortage of pizza places. I was hopeful about Cottage Inn because it seems like no pizza place in Niles has a good combination of salads, pizza, and dessert type stuff, and it appeared that Cottage Inn might actually have it all. But it was too good to be true. DO yourself a favor and stick with the old, established local places like Milano's, Massimo's, or...

I ordered; Large pepperoni pizza thin slice 2 liter of Pepsi And cinnamon sticks

It would be unfair for me to say the food wasn’t fabulous. However, they delivered the food minus the 2 liter... I called to complain and they passed the buck to DoorDash and then wouldn’t give me the number for DoorDash. I would like to add that I ordered from them about a month prior and cottage inn actually held themselves accountable when they sent the wrong pizza.

I did get a bit out of hand when talking with them but in the end I didn’t get what I ordered, right? I asked the manager if he had ordered a Chicago style hot dog and it was delivered without a bun would he be happy!!!!??

In the end DoorDash did refund me for the entire order, well done DoorDash!!!!!

TO BE FAIR the food at cottage inn in Niles Michigan is very good but in today’s world where the customer EXPERIENCE is as about expected as chivalry, they can’t even offer the customer SERVICE.

My food arrived cold. My salad was missing. I appreciate the delivery driver for offering to bring my salad back. I declined and told him I would call and get my money back. This is because who knows how long it would have taken to go 15 minutes back to town, then 15 minutes back to my home, depending on if the driver had more orders to deliver. I called to ask for my money back and was told they do not refund. A manager came to the phone and relayed the same thing. I told her that if she can take money off of my bank card that she can reverse it. I was called hostile and she proceeded to get an attitude with me. Upon being put on hold they refunded my money. However she proceeded with her attitude. I told her I appreciated her helping me but I didn’t appreciate her attitude. She proceeded to continue to argue with me.
