Norco Nutrition Spot — Restaurant in Norco

Let me say that the woman who works inside is very nice and I’ve never really had issues before. But I would go in a couple times a month to get the Chunky Monkey smoothie because I work nearby. I even told my coworker to go. The smoothies never tasted consistent over each time I got them but I just figured if they’re handmade they’re not going to be exactly the same every time. But last time I was in there, I got a Chunky Monkey smoothie on my lunch and when I took a sip I immediately choked on a big wad of plastic. I thought maybe it was just unblended banana, but after taking another sip I got more shredded wads of what looked like some type of wax paper or something coming out of the straw. It’s like it was blended up in my smoothie with the other ingredients. I didn’t have time to go back because I had to go back to work, but I wound up having to call out the next day because I had stomach cramps until I was able to throw up the plastic.

I was looking for juices, and plant based food items, turns out it mainly consists of items made with protein. I bought the waffles and skittles tea since I was hungry, I don’t normally take protein drinks/powders either for other reasons. I asked about açaí bowls and was told their protein bowls are healthier than acai. I was looking for the antioxidant benefits but ok. LOL. As I was waiting for my order i started looking around the place, I noticed they are promoting Herbalife items and pamphlets which is also a multi level marketing scheme. At that point It made sense why their items consisted mainly of protein and teas and no natural items. It’s very deceiving and that was disappointing. 12/10 Recommend! I had the protein bowl and it was to die for! I will not go back to California without stopping here again and again and probably every time I pass through. I'd eat the protein bowl for a treat over ice cream any day, which is amazing because it doesn't come with the guilt. I was on my way home to Las Vegas and tried this spot. The food was amazing and so was the service. I believe it was the owner that helped me out. He was so helpful and kind. He gave me a donut to try.
