(UPDATE) I contacted what I believe to be customer resolutions. I am very impressed at the speed of intelligent and kind communication. I gave the proper and needed detailed information regarding the previous purchase. I can assure you that I wanted nothing extra or to take advantage of the situation. I was humbled by the kindness and support in response to the issue. Thank you again from a loyal customer.
Hi Chanello's. First off I love your Pizza and Dipping Sauce. My reason for this post is to resolve an issue hopefully. I ordered the 3 one topping Med pizzas from Todd's Lane store about a week ago. The only problem was they sent out the wrong toppings on purpose. I called the store as soon as I received the pizzas. I was told they were out of the toppings for the pizza I ordered and they just sent out other toppings on the pizza instead. I asked politely why I was not called prior to the making of or the sending of the pizzas for me to pay? I only found this out after I paid brought them in and was surrounded by my wife and others that did not want such a pizza!!! The nice lady apologized and said we can't send out another as it's 1:00am, I understood that and was still confused as the damages we're already done. I was told I was to be given a credit for said 3 med 1 topping pizzas. Seeing as it was my last few days in Newport News and I was moving to 1st View in 2 to 3 days I thanked her and asked in future to plz just contact the customer so they have a choice to understand the changes and a chance to make adjustments so as to not be surprised with food no one would enjoy. It was a mess honestly!!! So here is my issue at this point, I live by the OV Chanello's and I have store credit for 3 med pizzas but they say it's not available here? I get it's a different store but come on please help me get this resolved. Read moreReally disappointed. I walked 30 minutes to pick up my pizza. I got a call at about 12:45 saying they were out of feta. I had ordered a pizza that was feta/black olives on one side and pineapple/mushroom on the other side. I was disappointed but that's not their fault, so I asked if I could just get spinach instead. She said it would be about 15 minutes, which was perfect because that was my estimated time of arrival. I got there at 1:05AM, apologizing for being 5 minutes late. They rang me up and a few minutes later I was on my 30 minute walk home.
I realized the pizza would probably be cold by the time I got home, so I decided to have a slice then. It was room temperature at best. In your parking lot. I'm not even sure how that is possible. I had nothing bad time at this point, so I looked over my receipt. I had been charged $2 extra than I had agreed to on the site. I didn't buy anything extra, I wasn't given anything extra. Did they take it upon themselves to take a tip?
By the time I got home and was able to reheat the pizza and enjoy it, I discovered what a poor job they did. Not one slice had the topping combinations I had ordered, it was if they had just been tossed onto the pizza at a distance, hoping they would land correctly. I held this pizza box horizontal for a 30 minute walk trying to not make that exact thing happen, which was obviously a waste of effort. Two of the slices had peppers I didn't order on them. My stomach hates peppers. I was unable to eat 2 large slices of my pizza because of this.
So now I feel like I was charged extra for less cold pizza. I know I was their last order of the night and wasn't expecting 110% but this felt like I got 30%. I work at a nearby hotel and guests constantly ask what pizza place to order from. I can't consciously recommend you all to anyone now.

Read moreThis was my first time ordering from the OV location. I usually order from the Chanellos in Ghent (the best!!), and now I see why. The delivery time was ridiculous. I placed the order a little after 11p and was told the order would arrive in 45 mins. It was 12:30 am and still no food. I called to see what was the issue. I mean it's a Wednesday night. How busy could it be? The staff said the driver just left and it should be 10 mins more before arrival. Ten mins came and went. The order arrived about 1am. We still tipped the driver but I wish I would've checked the order beforehand. The footlong CHICKEN FAJITA SUB I ordered was instead some lousy version of a philly cheesesteak sub. Cold bread, 2 thick slices of cheese, 2 oz of meat, and barely any onions present. Even though it wasn't what I ordered I would've sucked it up and ate it anyways because that's how hangry I was last night. But the sub looked so pathetic I just couldn't fathom the thought of doing so. The JUMBO WINGS we ordered were, in fact, regular sized wings with a fancy name. Smaller than any wings I've ever seen. The FRIES were cold so we just threw them away. My husband drove to Cookout in protest. The only decent item was the GARDEN SALAD. I mean you can't really screw up a salad. At the end of the day, I made a lazy girl decision to order delivery from Chanello's in OV. I should've driven 15 mins to Downtown Norfolk to get the order I deserved....
