Hardee’s — Restaurant in Norfolk

Me and my family often go there for breakfast and afternoon snacks. I always asked for my military discount whenever I bought food there. I noticed because this is the third time it happened to me that they don't put in the discount even if you asked for it and I even showed them my identification card. I called and complained it took them awhile to answer the first time. Then on the second somebody hung up on me while i was talking. On the third I was able to talk to the manager instead of being apologetic of the mistake he was on the offensive right away stating that I should have checked my receipt. How can I when it's placed under 4 Styrofoam containers there is a possibility that if I checked it in my car something would spill and I'll end up with a mess. He said I was condescending when I stated that the person up front didn't know what she was doing. As I said this is the third time this happened to us. What's the c use of asking for my military discountvand showing my identification card if their not going to give it to me. I should have just bought something and didn't bother showing the card and asking for the discount. Nowadays it is hard to live and everybody is trying to get by and be thrifty so this is a big thing for me. I just want to ask the manager why did he ask me if I'm retired, active, or one of those weekend warriors. Now who's condescending. Went thru drive thru waiting with no asking for order only when I drove off. I would boycott this reasturant and let it get the same fate of Burger King, their hiring people who just want a paycheck and do no work. I believe this management need do a little better finding help because the ones they have their paying them for no work. I now take my business to Little Creek at least they take orders. Stop hiring people who is weighing you down and get workers who want to make money. I know they have some people who would love to work just not the crew you have right now. You need to clean your house up and take out the trash. Listen to your reviews and you might be in the same fate as Burger King on Hampton become the next Starbucks. 4.5 ☆ From the start I was greeted by a friendly person and not a prerecorded message. My order was taken and repeated back to me accurately and I was dispatched to the window. At the window Candace greeted me with a smile and a appropriate greeting. She repeated the cost of my order, my CC was taken swiped and returned to me with a receipt. Candace then excused herself to get my order. Within a minute she returned with my burger and fries. Candace smiled and smiled, said enjoyed your meal and encouraged me to complete their survey. My large fries were hot and tasty and my Super Star was customized as requested. I have to say that Hardee's has the most consistently flavorful burgers of all.
