I visited Karla's Beach House for the first time, joining friends for breakfast on a Sunday morning, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. It gets busy, so I recommend arriving early to avoid the crowd. We met at 9:30 AM, and it was already full inside, with people waiting out front for a table. Parking is also limited, so you might need to park across the street, where there is a convenient crosswalk light timed with the stoplight. The menu is extensive, making it challenging to choose. Not because I wasn't hungry, but because of the many options available. Additionally, there is a chalkboard with daily specials that you should check out. I ultimately decided on the Beach House omelet, which includes bacon, ham, sausage, cheese, and home fries topped with sausage gravy. For sides, you can choose from home fries, grits, or fresh fruit, along with a selection of toast options: white, wheat, rye, or a biscuit. I opted for a biscuit. While waiting, you can refill your coffee at the coffee bar, which offers various flavors to enhance your coffee. If you prefer not to use the coffee bar, the server will keep your cup full at the table. Despite the dining room being full, the kitchen only took about 15 minutes to prepare and serve our meals. My meal arrived on a platter and was a generously sized omelet with sides that made for a fantastic breakfast. Everyone at the table joked about needing a nap afterward. Although I didn't take that nap, I will definitely be visiting again soon. If you're looking for a new place for your weekend breakfast, I recommend Karla's Beach House in East Beach. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

We like to frequent Jessy’s at ocean view and pass Karla’s…being it’s less than half a block from Jessy’s! So, Jessy’s was under remodeling…fate brought Karla’s. So the burning question is why haven’t I been here sooner?????? It’s a delightful small place. It’s very coastal in decor, very cozy, and the service was top notch!! Of course the food fare was outstanding! They do have a smaller menu, as they close early, but let me tell you they are done right. The chicken and waffles were simplicity done right, fresh and crispy chicken and a big fluffy waffle with two eggs. Seasoned very well, not salty at all…very well done. The Philly breakfast bowl is a new twist on the classic cheesesteak base. The serving was large, not greasy, the onions and green peppers were brightly grilled and fresh tasting. The last dish was the Monte Cristo sandwich. I’m a fan of that sandwich, the last one I had the whole Sammy was dipped and fried….this Monte Cristo version at Karla’s leans to the grilled cheese type of sandwich like the original American version of the French classic back in the 30’s, it was sweet and savory. Outstanding Monte Cristo!! Not many places serve this old world sandwich anymore. This place is worth every second of your time, the people will make you feel at home, the food is just nicely done. Highly recommended!!!!!

Came in on Thursday morning August 7th along with 3 friends of mine for breakfast/brunch. Be aware parking is very limited behind the restaurant, we were excited to come in from reading all of the good reviews online but did not have the same experience. Walking in, we were not greeted and I looked around for a host/hostess, a woman sitting at the bar pauses and goes “just 4 of you” and seats us, no hello or welcome in. Our server brought us waters and said she would come back to take our order. 15 minutes had past and she had not yet taken our order while our minds were made up quickly, during this time we saw her seat other tables and take their orders first and other staff walked right past us seeing we still had our menus. Finally someone came from the bar to take our order, the food was pretty good and fresh, the waffle is quite dense so if you want something light and fluffy try the pancakes instead. The whole time at the restaurant all of the other customers seemed to be getting better service and attended towards more than us which is great but not sure why we were not treated the same. Upon paying our bill and leaving, no one said anything to us on our way out, no bye have a good day or thank you, they just stared at us, I personally would not return nor my friends but hopefully others have a better experience.

I chose Karlas to meet my son and daughter in law for breakfast. I usually only choose places that have a traditional eggs Benedict, however the reviews were so good that I didn’t realize they didn’t have a traditional one. I’m so glad bc I would’ve missed out on Karla’s amazing other dishes. From the time that we walked in the door until the moment we left, we felt like we were with family. The older gentleman that greeted us at the door was very inviting a friendly. He told us the wait would be 20 minutes and it was. Karla waited on us, she was so delightful. We got to hear her story, the meals were excellent but her company made the experience that much better. She didn’t wait on us, she took care of us. She wasn’t attentive like a waitress, she wanted to be sure that we had all that we needed and wanted, even told them to make us a larger pancake bc I inquired about the size of them. My daughter had the omelette, it was a very nice portion, grits and fresh fruit. There were even cut up banana in the bowl. My son had eggs, grits and from what he said the best breakfast meat that he had in a long time. And he is a foodie!! My husband and I had a pancake, and the surfer bowl. I was so stuffed but it still left me wanting more. So good and full of flavor in every bite. They had a coffee bar that Karla said that the coffee was a family business as well. I think she said over a hundred years old, don’t quote me on that though. My husband enjoyed the blueberry bourbon one so much that he bought some beans to take home. My daughter enjoyed the hot sauce bar. Karla recommended her grandsons favorite the banana pepper one. My daughter agreed! I felt like I went home for breakfast this morning. I...

The Hardest Part Of My Review Is That This Place Seems So Popular That It Takes A While To Get Your Food... A Very Good Problem To Have... The Service Was Great, Very Welcoming, And Spirit-Filled...

But It Also Had The Best Piece Of Salmon I've Ever Had... Seriously. I'm Picky About My Salmon... This Filet Was Hot, Juicy, And Very Well Seasoned...

The Next Best Place I've Bought Salmon Was 100+ Miles Away For Almost 3x The Price... Funny How Karlas Is Literally Next To The Water And Far Less Pricey... And Better Prepared! Add Scrambled Eggs w/Pepper Jack, And Red-Skinned Potatoes... With Rye Toast (Orange Marmalade) Perfect Saturday Breakfast !

The Salmon Was Grilled Or Pan Seared And Seasoned Like No Body's Business But The Chef's Touch ... That's Why I Mentioned It Twice !

I Love Places Like This Because The Spirit Glows From The Simplicity... The Place Was No Bigger Than A Convenience Store, But Clearly Was "Home" (By The Beach) And Was Comfortably Crowded... Line Outside Too...

I'm Guessing It's A Neighborhood Jewel With An Elder Staff... I'm Guessing They're Enjoying Their Golden Years And Staying Busy... We Can All Be So Lucky And Less Than A Block's Walk From The Beach... Truly, I'm Jealous, And Not Even A Beach Bum Type Of Guy...

They Even Have A Bar... Which You Know Made Me Tear Up A Lil... Hoping I Could Have A Lil Spot Like This One Day, A Watering Hole And Hot Plate For Everyone In My Village !

I'm Thankful For Karla's, The Staff, The Food, And A Few Good Moments Away From My Own Day To Day Hustle...

I'll...
