This Zero's is located in an old strip of shops on Va Beach Blvd right next to I64. It can be kind of hidden due to the hug big box pharmacy in the parking lot however the side road is Kempsville Road and you can enter the parking lot from there. It's located fairly close to my doctor's office and often times after an appointment, especially if I've been fasting, I tend to head over here as soon as I'm through with the doctor.
This location has been open for many years and you can definitely see the look of a bygone era when you walk inside. The color of the walls is an old dull green and reminds me of a hospital hallway back in the 70's. Don't let that dissuade you, they make a mean sub in this little hole in the wall. Typically I'll pick up a Club Sub however everything I've had here from a grub steak, meatball or a regular turkey sub has been delicious.
Prices are fair and you can get a full sub lunch combo for about $10 or half sub in a lunch combo as well. Everything is made fresh and and toasted in the oven right in front of you. Check them out, you'll be...
Read moreI have to change my rating! Normally I have no complaints about this Zeros, but NOT TODAY! When I walked in there was 1 customer in front of me, we both placed our order, during this time there wasn't any subs being made. I play a video game then sit down. As I sit there 4 people come in and pick up orders. The after 10 minutes, man the ordered before me gets his and leaves. 15 minutes later after 2 more people pick up orders they call my number. I get up and I see them hand a bag to a man who was standing at the counter the whole time he's in the store. I thought it was mine, it wasn't, she hands me my order. As a I normally have no issues with my food, I leave. I get home 5 minutes down the street and our subs are COLD and everything I asked and paid for wasn't on them. My Chicken Philly doesn't have the onions or sweet peppers I asked for or the 3 Extra Pieces of cheese I paid for. My fiance's grinder had no oil and vinegar when I asked for extra! I am highly upset 😡 about this because sometimes I eat here once a week, at least...
Read moreDelicious as always! Grew up on Zero's in Arrowhead, Virginia Beach. Always had the best subs in town. Since its closure, I have had to venture and find new ones ... North Hampton Blvd which is close to work, and Kempsville Road, which is now the closest to home. Both are still amazing. The whole sub is edible. Meat, cheese, and toppings are wonderful in comparison to the roll. When eating, you do not fill up on bread. Nor do you have 2 inches of roll left on each side! The sub ingredients go all the way to the ends, which is not normally the case with other sub places. Always great tasting. I noticed today that they have started selling hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and french fries. Hmmmmm, interesting. I did order french fries. They are baked and I found that very nice due to my baking my fries at home. No grease to worry about. I would have taken a pic of them, but they never made it to the house. Sorry about that! Yes, I enjoyed them!! Welp, on to my...
