Casamigos Authentic Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Norfolk

My bf ordered our food here for pick up via door dash. It was a mediocre experience not because the food tasted bad but the overall service from employees was lackluster. We got an enchilada plate and quesabirria. When we got home I realized they did not give me the consome which comes with the birria order (strange because it was listed inside the order description on door dash and every place gives you consome with birria). We called them to inform we would come back for the missing part of our order and the guy on the phone said ok after looking up our order info. We get there and the girl out front had to get the manager who tried to tell my bf that they had given us everything and acted like we were scamming them for some birria broth. My bf had to walk them through the fact that they had left out something which comes with the dish, which their staff on the phone acknowledged and said we could come pick up! Manager eventually agreed and we had to wait over 10 mins for them to give us a tiny cup of the consome (most places give out twice as much as they ended up giving to us). Overall I felt it wasn’t even worth the hassle and the 6 min drive back to the restaurant just for my bf to argue with their manager over them forgetting to give us something that was in the order which we paid $15 for...

Stopped by for lunch since we were near and I have to say that this place is really good. Restaurant was a over half full but we were very promptly seated and waited on with good warm chips, salsa and white sauce that was on point. Menu Food selection is typical with some really good variations from the typical Mexican restaurants around. They have quite a decent variety of tacos to choose from. Food portions were large and hot. I ordered the lunch asada burrito and added chorizo and it was really good. Wife ordered the lengua tacos and she enjoyed those as well. We both got a side order of rice and it was on point as well. They also have a fairly decent size bar as well and I'll try out the bar next time on taco Tuesday. My only one ding that bothers me about most of the Mexican restaurants around here is that guacamole has been removed from their entrees as a free side and this place is no different. My wife and son went here for taco Tuesday. The special is 3 tacos for 7.50. However all the tacos have to be the same kind. That wasn’t on the sign but we found out while ordering. My son wanted 1 of each shrimp, carne, and chicken. It was $4 each for literally a corn shell and meat no toppings. My wife and I ordered a total of two margaritas or 1 each and fajitas. We asked for a small amount of sour cream and a little bowl of shredded cheese. We got our bill and it was $95 because they automatically charge you 18% gratuity for any orders over $50. So no matter how good or bad the service is you will be charged gratuity. The waiter rushed everything we didn’t have time to think about what drink we wanted before he was asking did we want him to come back later. At least asked if we had any questions first. We got the bill the table spoon of sour cream was $2.75 and the quarter cup of cheese was $3.50.
