Worst experience ever! I didnât even get the right food and got berated for it. Sit down for a long and bumpy ride.
My friend and I were hungry for some food, so she called to place an order with us. I wanted the chow mein, but the lady on the phone said âdo you want the vegetable dish or the spaghetti dish?â I was confused and didnât know what to say, so I said âI want the chow mein. Crispy noodle.â She kept asking if I wanted the noodles. This confused me because on the menu, the chow mein said crispy noodle and the lo mein said soft noodle. I told her I wanted the crispy noodles. You know, the chow mein. After my friend and I both ordered, the lady repeated back our order and she definitely said chow mein. We thought this was fine until we got to the place.
When we got there, my friend paid and we waited for our food. Then a lady came out with a container of food, gestured to me, and pretty much yelled if I wanted noodles. I said yes, and yelled back âthen you should have said lo mein if you wanted lo mein!â I was so confused at why she was so angry with me, so I tried to correct her and said that I ordered chow mein because I wanted crispy noodles. She just stared at me and angrily said âcome here. Look. Is this what you ordered?â At this point I was nearly in tears. I went up to go look and said, no, I didnât order that. I ordered the crispy noodles. Being Asian, I know what an angry lady looks like and actually got scared. She looked so angry and I honestly felt like she was going to attack me so I said Ill just take it. She bagged up our food and my friend and I quickly left. I was definitely holding back tears for getting berated over an order I didnât make.
The kicker? The lo mein didnât even taste that good. There was truly no flavor whatsoever. What a disappointment to Chinese food. I paid for food I didnât order, got yelled at for it, and it didnât even taste good. Please donât come here. The cheap prices are not worth the terrible food and terrible...
Read moreI've never been here before and I chose it randomly, as it was the closest place to the hotel I was staying at. Once inside, there were three customers waiting for to go orders. I asked the most upscale looking guy if the place was good. He replied with a slightly enthusiastic yes. It was slightly outdated and dingy looking, but that didn't deter me. My buddy didn't like the looks of it, so he bailed to the chicken place at the other end of the strip mall. He's young and had never been out of Alabama before. He doesn't know that rundown places often have fantastic food. Oh, and he said that the chicken place was, "straight up trash." The lady came out of the kitchen promptly, and politely took my order. There's been lots of review comments about how the service is not friendly or nice. I mean what do you want? There's two people back there cooking and one of them has to come out to take your order and give people food. Plus maybe they don't speak English very well. Anyways, I ordered General Tso's chicken, hot and sour soup, crab rangoon, and eggrolls to go. Everyone received their orders fairly quickly, including me. I got back to the hotel and dug in. Everything was very fresh tasting. The egg rolls were very good. The crab rangoon may have been the best I've ever had. The chicken and the sauce in the General's was delicious. They even met my request to make it extra spicy. The broccoli was definitely overcooked. Every Chinese place does that. My only complaint was the hot and sour soup. It was good, it just was not quite what I expected. I really enjoyed...
Read moreSo I can honestly say that I have never had such a bad experience anywhere. All I did was show up to wait for KY food after telling them when I called that I was on my way but I knew I'd have to wait a little bit.... the lady there came out when she noticed I was standing there even though I had been there for few minutes and immediately started giving me an attitude because I was there. I told her it was no problem but asked if she knew about how long it would be,she turned around and started yelling at me saying it's faster then McDonald's and that it takes 5 minutes to cook the chicken after she preps it... I saw that they hadn't even started my food yet so I said you know what never mind just cancel the order and turned to leave, she started out from around the corner like she was coming after me, screaming and yelling the whole time. I will not lie, I shared a few choice words with her because really???? There was literally no one there, and there were no orders hanging up to be made and no food cooking. I have eaten there several times and trust me when I say that their food is not good enough to have customer service like that; the only reason l've eaten there more than once is because there aren't any other Chinese food places nearby. I hink the reason they call it China Wonder is because you have to wonder if you're going to meet the crazy when you get there to pick up your food! I soooo would not...
