Last night I went with my husband for dinner and had a terrible experience. The employees all had a sour look on their faces. Note I usually don’t have any problems but that night was the complete opposite. I got the surf and turf and mentioned to mark which burrito was which because my husband has a severe allergy to shellfish and the guy looked at me confused when he was the one who prepared it for us. He proceeded to mumble something to me and I had to basically guess that he told me that he put a fork in the bag that had my husband’s in it. He then wrapped everything up and put it all in a bag to go when he didn’t ask me if it was for dine-in or to go. We sat down to eat and the moment I bite into my burrito it completely falls apart and I had no way of eating it. I had to hold it on the side as I stood there looking crazy just to ask for a bowl. I finally ask for a bowl and mentioned that my burrito was falling apart and the guy seemed to just dismiss it like it was okay. I’m not sure if I’m overreacting but I also work in the customer service industry and I know to never look like you don’t want to do your job in front of your customers. The other Qdoba near my job has never had any issues like this but I guess I came in on the wrong night. I hope this issue gets fixed because it’s completely unacceptable.

This is only the second time I have ever been to a Qdoba. I didn’t like it the first time and after today’s experience I will remember never to come back. My major complaint is the lack of transparency with the menu. The menu is structured in a way that prices the contents but not the item itself and it is designed with lots of white space and thin text in order not to draw your attention. So every time the server asks if you would like something and you say yes. . . Cha Ching! There isn’t a way for you to have any idea how much your total bill will be. $28+ for 3 tacos and 1 quesadilla! I believe that this is by design in order to get away with double or triple the prices charged at any of the Mexican fast food restaurants with Taco in their names. It is an underhand means of disguising their above market prices. The store is well designed to give the impression of “better” Mexican food. That is only an illusion. The second picture is the greasy chips we took home in their paper bag after setting overnight.

I’m super pumped that they built a Qdoba close to my house. The chips and queso is delicious. The spicy queso is a bit too spicy for my taste. The chicken, quesadillas and salsa is spot on. The entrance yo the parking lot is a little awkward because it is narrow. Don’t forget to sign up for rewards that way you can get all kinds of free food. The peach lemonade is a nice complement to the meal. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere reminds me of Nacho Libre. Also the restrooms were kept clean. We eat here at least once every two weeks and the staff is friendly. It’s not too busy for being located in a college town.

No greet upon entering or as I approached the counter. Not a smile, nothing, just two employees looking at me while they continue to chatting. One employee put a glove on and then went and answered the phone using the glove on his hand. Didn’t change it, nothing, just came back and asked “what you want?” and continued to serve with it on. Didn’t offer to walk through options or anything. Zero salesmanship at all. I asked several questions hoping he’d get the idea but nothing. He then puts mild queso on my order without me asking him too. I rolled with it. Went to sit and every single table and booth was filthy even though nobody was in there. I wiped down a spot to sit. Went to the drink station and it looked like a bomb went off. Fountain machine needs calibrated as it wouldn’t accept my selections. Sat down to eat and food was luke warm at best so we’ll see how this turns out later. This is the third time I’ve had a similar experience and it will be my last. I never once saw an “adult” or manager my entire visit. There’s good reason why you guys only have a 4.1. I’m a seasoned restaurant consultant and operator with 30 years experience in the industry, and I’m telling you now that whomever the GM and or franchisee is, they certainly don’t have a grasp on hospitality, coaching, leading, and or sanitation. I’d be embarrassed if I were them with reviews like your business...

Updated to add: the response by the “owner” is comical. Richard? Can’t even get my name right let alone an order. Just another generic “contact US for OUR mistakes” rather than anything else. They want to look like they care, but i guarantee there wont be a response or REFUND for the 40$ in wasted food I received. Will update again after speaking with “customer care”.

Original post: Will not come back. The last three times we have been here the order has been messed up. Double protein is not double, I think they just charge for it and don’t give it to you. This time, I have been sitting here for 30 minutes post “pick up” time by my confirmation email. I have called twice and been told it would be two more minutes and out to the car as soon as it’s ready, yes at least 20 people have been in and out with their food since my supposed pick up time. Mind you, that pick up time is at least 20 minutes after you actually order. Do not offer curbside or online orders if you will not make them until the line is clear. It’s been an hour since I ordered with nothing to show for it....
