Honestly a really disappointing experience today. Typically we have nothing but great things to say about El Huevo, but our latest visit was very frustrating. We went during the Sunday brunch rush, so it was understandable that we waited a bit before being seated. But once we got our table, our server Matthew dropped the ball. We ordered water to start while we debated alcohol, and when we ordered our meals and my wife’s drink, Matthew assured us he’d get our food order in and the drink would be out in just a minute. While we waited for everything, we saw him moving around the restaurant but he never returned with the drink or to check on us or to refill drinks at the table. The next interaction with any of the staff we had was when they dropped off our food 20 min or so later. We had to bring the missing drink to their attention, which sucked because honestly, they didn’t have any idea about it and were blindsided by someone else’s mistake. They were quick to apologize and went to dig into the missing drink. Matthew came by after I’d already finished my food and the drink had arrived to “check on us” and halfheartedly apologize for the mistake with the drink. There was no insight into what happened or why, just “sorry about the drink, my bad.” The food was great, everything we’ve come to expect from them, but the service made it a lackluster experience. The other two interactions we had with him were awkward and frankly uncomfortable as he danced around asking if we needed anything or were ready for a check.

Look, I make mistakes like anyone else. But I would much prefer someone to own that mistake and do their best to make up for it than to make the entire situation weirder/worse by acting like a kid in trouble. This kind of lackluster service is part of the reason El Huevo became our go to: their service was great and other places couldn’t compete. But this visit has me rethinking a...

This restaurant is a novel/unique mexi-breakfast concept (with a bar that opens at 8am. hahaha. lol), although they have extended their hours to lunch & dinner as well. That means the menu is different/unusual in a good sort of way. It's definitely not your traditional tex-mex place! So, the standard table setup does not include chips, queso or salsa. That'll set ya back about $8. Btw, the chips are served warm, the salsa is decent and the white queso is good too. It just needs to be thickened up a bit. I ordered the lunch/dinner enchiladas and they were delicious. The ranchero (red) sauce is spicy and has a kick. Can go hotter/spicier with the green chili sauce or substitute queso for a little less umph if you wish. My daughter got the mexi-French toast (yes, you read that right) with a carmelized banana sauce and fresh fruit topping. Omg! It made me wish I'd ordered a breakfast item instead! It was incredible! Seriously, I should have ordered a mexi-breakfast item! We were there for a late lunch. So, there was almost no wait to be seated. The food was served fast. And, our server, Rhonda, did a fantastic job. A manager even came around just to check on our table. That makes this an easy 5 star review! It's a new concept/place that's still adapting/changing to meet the market and staffed by folks who actually seem to care about what's going on. And, it shows! That's a formula for success in my...

El Huevo delivered an exceptional catering experience for our wedding, serving up delectable dishes for 200 guests with finesse and precision. From start to finish, they ensured that every culinary aspect of our special day was executed flawlessly.

The highlight of the catering service was undoubtedly the food quality and temperature maintenance. Despite the large number of guests, the dishes remained hot throughout the event, a testament to El Huevo's commitment to excellence and attention to detail. This ensured that every guest enjoyed their meal at its freshest and most flavorful state.

Moreover, the attentive and proactive staff played a pivotal role in enhancing the dining experience. Their diligence in monitoring and replenishing the buffet line ensured that no dish ran out, allowing guests to savor all options without any interruptions. This level of attentiveness reflects El Huevo's dedication to customer satisfaction and ensuring that every aspect of the event runs smoothly.

Overall, El Huevo's catering service exceeded expectations, leaving a lasting impression on both us and our guests. Their ability to deliver delicious food while maintaining impeccable service is commendable and undoubtedly contributed to the success of our wedding celebration. If you're ever in need of catering services in the future, El Huevo undoubtedly deserves a top spot...

My first time here and I was impressed with the interior design and customer service (Anette was awesome!!!)... The food was cooked really well and the wait wasn't too long... This place has coke products...The menu looked promising... Unfortunately, half of the food we ordered fell a little on the dry and bland side... Some salt and pepper on the table would've helped to remedy this... But, maybe because of covid they can't... At the very least, please put it on the food...The horchata is a hard pass, it tasted like the powdered mixture with water... To make it worse, they charge almost as much as a full kids meal for one small glass of horchata... It was just a table decoration after the first sip...I was very disappointed in it... The chicken enchiladas were tasty with the queso sauce!!! The chips with guacamole, queso and salsa were also very delicious!!! The steak and pulled pork street tacos were dry and needed more seasoning and sauce...Ham was super dry... The chorizo biscuit and gravy was really wonderful!!! The homestyle potatoes were cooked well... But, lacked any seasoning... Overall, if we didn't have a good sever I might've given this place only 2 stars... I don't know if I'll be back...I wish this place well... It has plenty of customers... My first experience just wasn't as good as I would've hoped for...

I went to el Huevo for breakfast with my mom. We were greeted almost immediately when we entered. Out server Luis was great! The restaurant itself was nicely decorated but very cold. I had the Huevo Loco. The ranchero sauce on it was very tasty. The ancho crema was amazing but since it was cold and the restaurant was cold it cause the omelette to get cold very quickly. The omelette itself was cooked nicely. The pablano peppers were a perfect addition. I think I would ask for extra time. I also added the hot salsa to mine. If you like spicy definitely try it! My mom got the Head Gringo. She loved the bacon. The eggs were cooked properly to her request. She enjoyed the potatoes. The only thing that was an issue was the gravy on the biscuits. She said it had no flavor. I guess that could be remedied with salt. She also liked the spicy salsa. I would overall recommend trying this place. Hopefully as the weather gets cooler they will turn the a/c down. They also offer a discount for first responders and military which we didn't find out about until we had already paid. I will be returning to try other items on the menu.
