I have never had the opportunity to meet people like this, honestly there are so many things to say. the food in this place at first sight looks normal but in reality it is food that has been resting for many days, it is not something fresh. the owner's treatment of his employees is simply fatal, he is a person who believes that everyone wants to steal, a person who gets upset if his workers eat during their 8 hour workday. when I just entered everything was fine, while I was in that place I never took something that did not correspond to me nor did I take on responsibilities that did not correspond to me, I only worked two days and tried to do my best. while I was in that place too many of my friends were going to test and so on since it was a new place for everyone, when they were going I only received messages from him saying why they were there and when they were leaving, I made it clear that my friends always paid and never interrupted me in what I was doing, just trying this place. the last night was the worst of all, it was a friend of mine for the first time, he ordered a meal that was completely rested but not to throw it away, he decided to order it to go, I packed it like any customer and automatically I received a message asking for explanations why the bag was so big, insinuating that in that bag there was something else, and that my friend had not paid for it, my friend felt bad and he had to leave his meal so that this person would not think bad, next day I was fired. last thing and the only thing for which I decided to write this review, yesterday I received my last payment, payment that should correspond to the hours I worked on the last Sunday and last Monday, it turns out that this person decides to pay me the hours and no the tips that they had left me for my service, to which I decide to write to him directly and I do not receive an answer, I decide to write to the second owner and I do not receive an answer, only a blocked instant, at night I went to the place in the most respectful way, this man with a fatal attitude and no disposition says that the money was fine, I ask him to please confirm and only the gestures of his face make me feel uncomfortable, to what he tells me, I will check but I know that everything is fine. I left the place and not because the money is a lot or not because what has happened with my family and friends To have a place where you have people I feel that you must be human first, I worked and while I was there I did my best, maybe I made mistakes, I'm not perfect, but it was not to receive a treatment as if I didn't deserve something good, or as if he was doing me the favor of paying, in conclusion I continue to wish the best to those people, and to the place, that after so many employees who leave there for the same reasons, maybe one day they will be able to think that maybe something of what they are doing is not correct, we all deserve a good treatment and that you are giving me work does not mean that you have to humiliate me or make me feel less just for a couple of dollars. to finish and make it clear, this was my experience, maybe other people in the future do much better and I hope it is like...
Read moreI’m really confused as to how and why this place has such good reviews. I hate to be “that person,” but I’m going to be because I enjoy and appreciate honesty, and I know others do too.
I have been interested in trying out KTB for quite sometime now. Prior to my own experience, I had only ever seen positive reviews; and according to the almost five stars on Google, this spot seemed like a solid must try! Unfortunately, it was all miss and no hit for me. The vibes were off as soon as I walked in (meaning my vibration didn’t match the vibrating energies of this place — I know this won’t make sense to everyone). KTB is on the darker side (aka there’s not much sunlight) and it has an Irish pub feel to it (lots of dark colors, grays and browns, and lots of wood, mainly the furniture).
I ordered a savory crepe which was stuffed to the brim and served up like a giant burrito. It was just okay. I got an iced coffee served in a cute mason jar with a handle, but it was nothing to write home about. The service was good, but not exactly friendly; However, I was greeted as soon as I walked in and my order was taken promptly, so no complaints there.
I definitely see the vision for this place. It’s got a bit of a rustic, old school bar aesthetic that’s not trying too hard to be hip and trendy, but still offers modern-day drinks and bites that have some Instagram potential. They also have a liquor license, which I believe is not very easy to get, so I can see an appeal to this place from that perspective as well.
Anyway, I added 1 star for the service and another for effort, but I won’t be back. I had a stomach ache after my crepe sandwich that lasted for hours and that’s really what made this review what it is. I still tipped very generously though, and I wish nothing but good things for this establishment and it’s...
Read moreSo here is the rundown: it's a small corner place but offers a lot! The food & drinks here are delicious. From their breakfast items, pastries to sandwiches, and from their coffees to their martini's...all yummy! I havent had 1 thing yet that I didnt enjoy. Priced well & they offer free filtered water for all guests. The ambience is also very inviting. It's a cool place to hang out with friends that offers some games, musical instruments, trivia and open mic nights. The staff are very pleasant. There are a decent amount of tables, comfortable chairs & sofas and there's also a small parking lot in the back and plenty of street parking. So with all this great stuff... why only 3 stars? What's the problem? It sounds like the perfect place! Well, the truth is, the reason I knock off 2 stars is because they take forever to fulfill ur order. Idk if it's because they are understaffed? I'm not sure. I dont know what the actual problem is, but even when it's not packed with people, there is a long wait. For an example: Even if you're the only person on line, u still have to wait at least 5 minutes before someone takes ur order, then it's still going to take a minimum of 20 minutes to get 1 Moscow mule. About a half hour for 1 Belgium waffle. There's also no air conditioning or fans (don't know if it's broken or they legit don't have any) so when it's 85 - 100* outside... it's just as hot or hotter in here. So for me personally, I cant handle it, especially if I'm going to have an alcoholic beverage on top of it. I've been here numerous times and these are the same recurring issues. This place has the potential to be a legit 5 star business they just need to speed up their process & either get or repair the cooling system. If they can conquer these issues, this place would be...
