Brazilian Spices Steakhouse - Bar - Pizzeria — Restaurant in North Arlington

I am a top chef for 50 years and owned 29 upscale restaurants. I found this restaurant by accident and I love that type food listed on menu and invited 2 other friends and their kids who drive 30 minutes plus to meet my wife and I there. We ordered 4 different dinner items and 2 kids meals The kids meals both kids only ate a mouthful as they said it was bad tasting So I myself tasted theirs and best place for their dishes was to be placed in trash 🗑 Now we get to the adult dinner meals The med rare steak dinner for my friend was beyond well done and no real chef would have okayed it to be served My wife's Salmon she said was passable The pasta dish my other friend ordered was on a scale 1 to 10 a 2. My dish was a mixed meat type platter The steak on platter was paper thin and 4 inches long and taste was extremely bad for the meat that must be old and the person who cooked it must of use the same grill for the Salmon cause it taste like fish! The pork pieces on my platter were the worse I honestly seen in 50 years they were dry as dust and hard as rocks Then the little piece of chicken was all red inside and its obvious all was not prepared by a CHEF! I guess the owner had to cut down on cost so hired staff to stay afloat as on a Saturday night during prime time the entire restaurant was empty 1 other couple These type Brazil places are sought after and all very crowded on a Saturday night I honestly was going to offer the owner my help and cook for him for free as the place is in really bad need of a Chef and an assistant chef! Well it was a first time try that I was hoping would be a great place cause I can fill the restaurant with my friends but I was extremely disappointed as was my guest even their 2 little kids Overlooking they over charged me by 10% but was in no mood to tell this to a manager since I did not see one and the entire staff does not understand English to good in fact very bad making it hard...

I will start by saying that I have been going this place for a very long time. The person at the grill is an amazing person and he always does his best, that is why I have recommended friends and family. Yesterday was very disappointing, we ordered rodizio and pasta. Our waiter from the very start had a rude attitude. Even to bring water took a very long time. It seemed that she was ignoring us. When the check came I asked if I could wrap up what was left and she told me that I could not do that. I know the rules, all you can eat, no doggie bags. The waiter in a rude manner reminded me of this so I asked to be charged for the items but the rude waiter had a nasty tone and kept on repeating it. Since the tip is automatically added to the bill (20%) I felt that she did not deserve it so I asked her to charge me for everything additional but to remove the tip as I would consider tipping what was fair. When she brought the bill she over charged for the items that I was taking, I had one sausage. 2 ribs and 2 picanhas. She charged me for 3 of each plus rice and beans which I didn’t even want to take . At this point I was annoyed, I decided to tell her to adjust the bill and she started counting the items by touching the food with her fingers and I got upset and told her not to touch my food and she said sorry but I didn’t touch it. I told her are you really telling me this when you did it right in front of me. As a final thought, I always appreciated the food, the service was always bit off but did not mind since the food made up for it. they raised their prices, I was always loyal customer to them. For the amount of money I paid last night I could go to another rodizio place like Fogo de Chao. As a final note, review your bill because they always over charge. I do not know if I will be retuning...

This place is so awesome!!! The food is so different than any other brazilian steakhouses in newark or around USA, i have been visiting most of the brazilian stekhouses in many states including chima, fogo de chao etc... and i need to tell that Brazilian Spices beat all of them, their food is so delicious, the grill men is so careful in your table, always with a big smile and bring you a particular pieces of meats that is cooked specific for your table, besides that the live music is so marvelous in special when he sings the top best brazilian most famous songs, the space is not that big, but the waitresses, the owner, they treat you so well that is like you are eating in their house, it is amazing the way they treat you! Me and my family are a big fan of brazilian steakhouse, we have been in many states eating but this small place really make a big difference to me and all my family, my kids love it and my wife want to come back asap, if you are around newark stop by for a diner and you will understand in person what we are meaning. This place is really the place that match with that famous quote: "never judge a book by its cover" because once you enter it will not be like the huge brazilian steakhouses that have those amazing interior designs, beautiful buffet and entire other things that are built to make you stay, besides that their price is like OMG. This place dont have nothing like it, as i sad is so different, once you seat to eat and enjoy their delicious dinner or lunch or their delicious brazilian pizza, you will see from now on that this restaurant will be your best choice for a nice brazilian family Meal!!
