This Starbucks every day for at least six months every single worker in this Starbucks is amazing super friendly, super kind. Super hospitable helps me on my way to work get my drinks always a pleasure always has a smile on but for some reason every time I go and interact with the Caucasian man Richard who’s balding he is so rude to me. I asked him for a cupholder he wouldn’t give it to me and then I asked him for a straw stopper and a sticker he wouldn’t give it to me. he said that the half trays were specifically reserved for drive-through and pick up only but yet when I went through the drive-through today, I wasn’t offered a tray Nor a stopper nor a sticker he basically threw the drink in my car and now I’m driving around and my drinks are spilling everywhere because I have no stoppers and when we pulled up to the drive-through we said hello nobody said anything we said hello again and we were told give us a second so we waited about five minutes and there were no cars in front of us so we just pulled up to the window. Richard comes to the window and is like “hey did you stop at the drive-through and we were like yes and he’s like oh OK because you have to tell us at the drive-through window but it’s OK. I got it. we’re still working on your order so next time tell us.” I was like oh okay. Because I didn’t want to get into a second verbal altercation with this man. Literally cannot stand him. RICHARD IS RACIST BECAUSE IM...
Read more"This note is legal tender for all Depts. Public and Private" It says this on all our money. I'm a regular, maybe two or three a week. I'm here enough that most of the staff knows me by name, and those know my order before I can say it.
As it happened today I forgot my wallet, I usually pay with my debit card. I placed a one hundred dollar bill on the counter. I have on rare occasion had to do this, it's never been a problem with any other manager. They simply get the key, open the cabinet where the cash is kept and make change.
Today enter manager Monica, when she was asked for change she told the cashier they didn't have it so I asked her if there was change in the drive through register. Monica said no, they did not have change for a hundred dollar bill. I told Monica I find that very hard to believe. Monica shifts gears to tell me it's their policy not to accept hundred dollar bills. In other words she lied to me when she said she had no change.
Now if it's a policy it needs to be in writing, and the policy needs to be displayed for costumers to review. Who knows what to believe, Monica has already lied to me, this policy thing could be another lie.
I was leaving when I thought I would ask to see the policy, Monica was in the back and refused to come out when the cashier called her. Every other manager is wonderful,...
Read moreI’d like to share my experience at the Starbucks on River Rd in North Bergen. This location has some amazing baristas who always greet you by name, make sure your drink is perfect, and even add thoughtful notes on the cup. If there's ever an issue, they remake it without hesitation — truly top-notch service from those individuals.
Unfortunately, not all staff show that same level of care. Some don’t greet customers at all, and on one visit, I asked for my drink to be remade and received a rude side comment. Even worse, my coworker overheard an employee speaking disrespectfully about me to another staff member, even saying I "wasn't welcome there." That was completely uncalled for and made me stop coming for a while.
When I returned recently, the quality of my drinks was again inconsistent. One day they were poorly made, the next day — when ordered through a friend’s app — they were much better. It's clear that service depends heavily on who's working.
I’m not writing this to be disrespectful. I really appreciate the great staff here — they deserve recognition. But I hope the rest of the team can be retrained to match that same level of professionalism and kindness. Customers should always feel welcome...
