Extremely disappointed with the service and conduct of the pharmacy staff at this Walgreens location.
I’ve been filling the same monthly prescription here without issue—until now.
On August 4, I got a text saying my medication was “being processed”, but no notification that it was ready. I called the pharmacy and was kept on hold for 45 minutes. Four separate times, someone picked up, told me to hold again, and then disconnected the call. I never actually spoke to anyone.
I drove to the store on Monday, August 11, where a male pharmacist with glasses told me it would be ready the next day. When I returned on Thursday, August 14, he told me there was a “nationwide shortage.” That turned out to be false—I later found the medication in stock at multiple other pharmacies.
Even worse, Walgreens pharmacists have an intercom system to check stock at nearby locations—a process that takes seconds—but this pharmacist refused to check and instead told me to “call around myself.” This is unacceptable, especially because they know the medication is non-transferable, and sending customers away to do this manually creates serious barriers to care.
As a result of this negligence, I had to: • Make multiple unnecessary trips • Waste 45 minutes on the phone with no resolution • Drive to my doctor’s office for a new prescription • Endure stress and delays accessing essential medication
The pharmacist was dismissive and condescending throughout, treating me as though I were uninformed, when in fact I clearly understood how Walgreens’ system works. It felt disrespectful and possibly age-related, which is deeply concerning.

You are understaffing the pharmacy to the point that your skeleton crew can't service both drive thru and walk in customers. I have waited at the pharmacy drive thru many times for 5 to 10 minutes without a staff member ever coming. In the past after waiting so long I have pressed the call button and was actually asked to leave the drive thru and come inside because the available staff were too busy to come over. What's the point of having a building with a drive thru if it can't be reliably used by your customers?
As well, it is extremely difficult to get a pharmacy staff member on the phone when needing to ask a question or resolve an issue. You keep getting placed on hold over and over and over as your own hold queue times out and starts ringing the staff again. This is not the fault of the pharmacy staff, this is the fault of management for not staffing the pharmacy appropriately. Your staff are not super human and have yet to gain the power to be in two places at once.
None of this is acceptable and has only gotten worse in the past years. I repeat, this is the fault of management and not the overstretched and miniscule staff you actually put on the schedule. I will be reevaluating my family's relationship with Walgreens if this situation...

I called them first thing in the morning to see if they could transfer my prescription from CVS to Walgreens. I was covid and high risk and this walgreens had Lagerio in their stock. She was very rude saying she cant do it because she is so busy and i needed to talk to my doctor again. I told her that i used online doctor and cant reach him again. And this was my day 5th so i had to start these pills that day. She said "You have to have your prescription and i am packed". I am sure she was not a real pharmacist qualified as a healthcare pro but some operator simply dispensing pills. They should not be allowed to operate in such enviroenments or answer patient calls. The same CVS as soon as i call said that they had it in another location and offered to transfer there. They sorted out everything for me.. I will NEVER use your services anywhere again!
