Very cute place but we sat down with a family of five. The server came over to take our order. My daughter did knock over her pop so she did bring us a stack of napkins. The server disappeared. I had to go to the bathroom to get more paper towels to clean it up. We cleaned it up and finally got our order placed. We finally got our food after 30 mins or more. My mashed potatoes had cold spots so I know they were microwaved. We only had 2 sets of silverware the whole time. I had to go back to the bathroom for more napkins because our server was no where to be found. At the end of the meal, I finally got my salad and bread but my kids had waited so long that they were ready to go. I had to go and find someone to get our check which took another 10 minutes. I took the check up to the counter and stood there for another 10 minutes or so. Servers and staff members just looked at me. The food was ok but for a $60 check, I wanted so much more. There were also not a lot of people in the restaurant so I would think that the service would be better. We love a good Mom and Pop restaurant for our family but this is far from a good place for that!
They also had a Mother's day promotion and I never got my $10 gift card. My son read the back of the menu and told the server but she never...
Read moreWent there on Thursday night before the concert at the Amphitheater. They were clearly overwhelmed and not prepared for the crowd. We asked if they are always busy because of the Thursday concerts and they said yes so you would think they would plan better. We had to wait to be seated because they had no menus. After a table ordered and we could have their menus we could be seated. Oddly enough the menus are a sheet of paper that can be photo copied. We waited over 20 minutes for our salads and the food was not very good. My husband’s steak was tough and the bacon on my sister in laws turkey sandwich was burnt. None of us finished our food. We had to repeatedly remind the waitress that we asked for refills and we never received our dinner rolls. I get that they were busy because of the amphitheater but Thursday nights is nothing new and they should be better prepared. To add insult to injury they charge a fee to use your debit card. I doubt we would...
Read moreI walked into Samantha’s for the first time this morning only needing a coffee to go. I did not have my usual credit card on me and was fiddling in my wallet for another. With that, she gave my coffee on-the-house out of nowhere! Even as I offered to pay with another card, she declined and insisted it was mine free of charge. She also deducted the service charge because she “had plenty of change” so the price was reduced for a cup of coffee. It was the sweetest gesture. The hostess was so very kind from the second I walked in: personable, friendly, and warm. I felt nothing but generosity and hospitality today. I just wish I had gotten her name! (She did mention she had been working for Samantha’s for 20 some years). I will be...
