Previously, I rated this Domino's poorly for slow service and messing up orders. I lived about four minutes from this store so I decided to stop being lazy and pick up the orders. I haven't had any issues for several years now so I wanted to amend my review.
Domino's isn't my favorite pizza, but it'll do in a pinch and their side items are very good. There are five crust options: hand-tossed, thin, pan, Brooklyn, and gluten-free. I've never had the gluten-free, but all four others are good and satisfy different cravings for me. Overall, the thin is my favorite because of the cracker-like crunch and the herbs on top. The pan is indulgent. The caramelized crispy cheese around the edge is wonderful. The hand-tossed is great for a general pizza craving, with the garlic crust being tasty. I wish you could ask for extra online. The Brooklyn is like NY-style pizza in appearance, though the taste is very fast-food pizza. It's good when made right, but frequently it is either overcooked or undercooked. It also tears really easily, making eating it messy.
The parmesan bread bites, both savory bread twists, and the stuffed cheese bread are all on rotation in my orders depending on my mood. I usually eat a few and end up eating the rest cold, like an animal at strange hours of the night. The dips are okay, though kind of hard to actually dip. You basically need a knife and fork to pick it up and put it on the bread.
I've only had one sandwich (Chicken Parmesan) and it was okay. The chicken is a little weird to me. The texture seems processed but the taste doesn't. The pasta (particularly in a bread bowl) is great, but I wish I could add more toppings to it.
The cinnamon bread twists (especially with the apple dip) and the lava cakes are out of this world good, but I want to live past 30, so I rarely order them. Pro-tip: refrigerate the lava cakes. When they get cold, it is nirvana.
They're located conveniently near me, the staff are usually pretty friendly though I can tell a lack of employees has many of them exhausted. The prices, while still higher than I'd prefer, are reasonably and there is always a deal I can take advantage of. They're probably the cheapest chain next to Little Caesar's.
Overall, it is decent pizza as far as national chains go. It never will be a mom-and-pop shop with pizza made from scratch, but that's not why I go there. I go to Domino's for pizza that taste's...
Read moreI am extremely frustrated with the Springs Road location. I order from this location 1-2 times a month. My total after using my dominoes rewards was $3.10( which is great).Ordered online and my husband picked up the pizza and paid at the drive thru. Guy at the window said $3.10. Paid with my debit card. Didn't think anything about it. Looked at my bank account 2 days later and it was charged for $18.16.( this was not even close to the total of my order even if no rewards were used)Looked at my dominoes acct and it shows that dominoes voided my order. So what exactly did I pay for? I am making a guess here that somebody paid with cash for an order and the guy at the window pocketed the cash and used my card to pay for said cash order. Went back to the Springs Road location today and they said yeah, I see where it was voided but we can't do anything about it.Also showed them the ticket from the top of the pizza box that said $3.10 and the amount that my card was charged. Again said they can't do anything about it. I am going to guess we are not the first people this has happened to but may just be the first to notice it. Poor business practice. I know it is only a $15 extra charge but come on Dominoes this is so disappointing that you steal from your customers and act as if it is no big deal. Sad that I have to no longer order from a place that I love just because of...
Read moreWe ordered a cheese pizza, 16 piece wings, and stuffed cheese bread in advance for a later time. The wings just sucked, they were soggy and flabby which was disappointing there were also huge portions that didn't have sauce... The stuffed cheese bread was okay but the cheese wasn't evenly dispersed so some pieces were loaded and some rather skimpy... And lastly the pizza, it was fine just a uneven cut so I had to cut some pieces smaller for my kid they were so big.. Which is completely forgivable and I normally wouldn't care, but with the other things going wrong too it was just annoying. The delivery service however was on point, but the last time we ordered the boneless chicken bites were pretty over done, burnt, and bitter.... That being said it's not been the greatest service, and I don't think I'd want to order from this...
