I ordered food from this location to find out an hour later that there was a 3 hour delivery time. 4 hours for a pizza...people, really. I get the labor shortage, but come on. A courtesy call asking for us to pick up is not courteous after an hour of thinking it is being delivered and paying a delivery fee and pre-tipping.
When I stopped in to pick up my pizza, I came in to 5 employees standing around talking about each others pay. I was greeted by a kid that wanted to be helpful. I had to ask for my delivery fee and tip to be removed. What I believe to be the manager, no eye contact, immediately takes off the fees and gives me a 50% discount. This is not at all what I was expecting or asking for and it is not good for business. Leading with that is going to hurt the business in the long run, if it is the default to get people out of your business.
I was told there would be an additional 5 min wait. Cool, no problem there. I had already waited an hour and a half at this point. During my wait the driver returned and looked stressed upon seeing no orders ready for delivery. For what was probably now a 15-20min wait, the driver still had not loaded orders into his bags. What I believe to be the leader went on a smoke break during all of this.
I feel that cross-training can go a long way for you. Labor shortage is not the issue here, it's only doing the minimum that is the issue here. 2 of the 5 people could have delivered and the other 3 could have held down the fort. I know there are insurance forms and things that may need to be done to be a driver, but the driver here cares and he was not being supported.
I was here on New Years and there were 2 people working. Service was great, pizza was awesome, and there was hussle. That was more of a labor shortage and it was leaps and bounds above our experience last night.
We care about the success of the businesses here and this owner...
Read moreI haven't been to Domino'sSince they changed their recipe 20 years ago. So I'm showing my age.But my daughter wanted to trySo I agreed. We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza. An 8-piecePlane wings. And a cheesy bread. We showed up 10 minutes early So Pizza would Be hot we didn't mind waiting food was very when we arrived. Total was 29.00 I tipped 20% .total was $34when we got home pizza was ice cold. Had to reheat in oven. Wings were not crispy. And inside were uundercooked almost raw. Threw out wings. Ate 2 slices of pizza and there it out. Cheesy bread was good. So basically I paid $34.00 for an order of cheesy bread. Looks like it's back to Sometties Call me. When dominos goes back to the original recipe. So here's an update I received an email from a gentleman named Ryan Slack. After telling him about my experience he said he would credit my phone number if I ever decided to try Domino's again. After about a week I decided to give them another shot as everybody has a bad day. When I called Dominos I spoke with the gentleman named Josh going forward me that no credit had been given to my phone number I was not shocked. But Josh informed me that he would give me a credit of $30 the price of my previous order that wasn't good. So I ordered a large pizza. When I picked it up it was ready. It was hot. And when I got home it was actually a really good pizza. Being from the Northeast my standards are pretty high. So I have to give an atta-boy to Josh and the crew over Domino's on South Point Road. I definitely would try them again. It's easy to write a bad review when someone's having a bad day but I noticed not many people take the time to write a good review so good for Josh in the folks over at Domino's on South Point...
