So this isn't a review about the donuts. The donuts are great and the owner is very sweet. It's her other worker that is extremely rude... The white woman with glasses.. She has zero customer service expertise..... I came right at 8:00 am to pick up my pre order and she was the one who took my pre order days before. I waved at her and told her , " I'm back,.and then she packed the donuts for me... " A few hours later I get a call saying , " are you not coming to pick up your order? We're loosing business because of you.... " I told her I already came and got the order and you were the one who took my pre order and the one who packed it this morning... She proceeded to tell me that, " I don't know you like that personally. " And then kept going on about how they were going to lose business because of me.... Absolutely unacceptable to talk to someone like that. She should not be in customer service if shes going to talk to people like that .. They're definitely going to lose my business now because I'm not going back as long as she's employed there and talking to...
Read moreTook the kids here for their donuts, and was surprised that they still offer donuts for $11.99 a dozen. While this seemed cheap, we quickly found out this price only included regular donuts with no cream. Cream filled donuts are $19.99 a dozen or almost $2 each. Might have tried the cream filled if the donuts were fancy or something, but these were just plain looking donuts that clearly didn't look like they were worth $2 each.
The place had a decent selection of donuts still at 1pm, but after ordering a dozen, we weren't impressed. The donuts aren't fried and taste more like the donuts you get at Dunkin' just not as good.
This location is located outside of the town of Asheboro, but does offer parking and takes cards.
As far as friendly, the staff took our order but never initiated conversation or tried to talk to us.
We try a lot of donut shops, and this is one I won't...
Read moreThe glazed or, "raised" donuts, as they're named here, are an unbelievable bite of heaven; light and fluffy and will melt in your mouth! The Bavarian cream is my husband's favorite and is worth the calories. All of the donuts, apple turnovers, cinnamon rolls, etc. that I have had are outstanding and never give me the indigestion I've gotten from chain store donuts. This place has consistently been a total gem in our little town and I will never buy donuts anywhere else.UPDATE: 2025Something has changed with these donuts, they're not as fluffy, light, fresh and indigestion-free. I've had a cinnamon roll with an overly crunchy glaze, a Bavarian cream that seemed stale, glazed that were oily. I've given more than enough chances that it was just a fluke. I was proudly recommending this place for years, won't be doing that...
