I stayed here one night in early January 2014. This motel is very convenient to the highway.||||First- as other have noted, the sign is a "bait-and-switch" which I really don't appreciate. It may say 39.99 but that won't be what you pay; that is the "week" rate for a single room. More people, or a weekend, and it will be more. For me, it ended up being 45 + tax, not outrageous, but I just don't like being told one thing and being charged something different. It was late so I let this one slide.||||The room was ok; everything worked. Mini-fridge, microwave and TV were all fine, and the wi-fi was fast with no problems (the router still said "Super 8"). It did take some finagling for power, as only one side of the bad electrical outlet worked- the extension cord and power strip that I always carry on the road definitely came in handy.||||I had no problems with the bed or the towels, and overall it was a good night's sleep; I consider it a fair value.||||Most of the food/gas places are nearby along highway 64; you might also want to check those if you have a bad experience with...

It's been a while since I've had to stay there. However, I know a few people who have been there lately and they're remodeling the rooms and look so much better, and brings them more up to date!!! Not all rooms are done yet though, and the bugs are no longer an issue. It's the most inexpensive place to get a room in town but that whole thing with having to put a deposit for a phone is completely stupid!!! If you're someone from out of town and have to call someone or long distance they can easily add a charge for that, but now days most phone services offer extended local and then some. It's just another money racket scheme!!! They need to continue to work harder for better ratings instead of trying to play to the group of customers that they pray on.... People down on their luck, people who are almost broke, drug dealers ( which they know all to well that they are dealing drugs there ), people who don't know any...

This place should be ashamed of themselves!!! Advertisement sign promoted that they had rooms for 49.99. We was charged 85.00$ Probably because of the hurricane evacs so of course theyd bump pricing up in a natural disaster!! Also said they was newly renovated had free hbo wifi and new carpet. There was no capet at all. All of which could have been overlooked meanings we was just driving thru and needed a place to stay for a few hrs. However when we got to room there was tvs stacked on top of tvs ..microwaves stacked upon microwaves (non working) and a mini fridge that didnt work. But when ya find roaches dead and alive on top of bed bugs im at my tipping point. No spout even on the bath tub faucets.. upside down lampshades as ceiling lights.. holes in walls. This place is highly neglected and honestly im not sure how the health department hasnt...
