I've never been to a restaurant where they put the food into the same containers whether you eat in or not. I suppose using to go containers so you don't have to do it later makes a little sense. Not overwhelmed by the experience. The atmosphere is very nice. Pretty little place, nice and quiet. However, i had to clean off my own table. My gyoza arrived with a full crunch, which is actually how I like it! The fried crab is artificial crab sticks. While the gyoza has a very light flavor, the crabs sticks are pretty flavorless. And worse, they both come with the same soy based sauce which doesn't have a lot of flavor to it either . For the most part, I can't even tell I put the sauce on there. But they do have a brown sauce at their sauce bar, which adds a really nice flavor to the food . Signs all over ask that you limit to two servings of white sauce per dish I thought it must be some overwhelmingly crazy delicious type sauce. It's not. It was actually very similar to a horseradish sauce without the horseradish. Think mayo with a little garlic. All in all, I think they went 100% on the decor and atmosphere but only about 50% on the food. I can think of other places nearby where I'd enjoy it more.

This used to be my go-to place, but the quality has gone sooo downhill. I had food posioning from here a few months back and just had it again tonight (thought I was ordering from the 10th street location on Doordash), the hibachi chicken has a weird texture, theres some huge pieces and some mini pieces & the vegetables are hard and have a weird flavor. Sooo im having just rice for dinner

I could only make it through the noodles and shrimp. The chicken was hard, old and obviously not fresh, and the veggies were the same old....tasted as if it was warmed up. After eating from Sarku Japan from Raleigh the day before where the food is cooked right in front of you...this tasted even worst. First and Last visit. Yuck.

I order from here all the time. I usually order hibachi steak and shrimp, and because you don’t get much steak I request an extra order of steak, and I pay $5.59 more. Well when I get my order the portion of steak is not much more than the normal portion of a regular of a regular order. I waited to speak to a manager and while waiting, I watched other orders being prepared and I definitely wasn’t given much more than the regular orders I saw being made. The manager gave some BS about how many steaks were cooked to complete my order as if I didn’t watch the cook cook my order with another order instead of separate.. I was treated like someone who didn’t pay for what I should’ve received. I’m sure if my face was a different shade I would’ve been accommodated fairly. I’m definitely NEVER going to come here ever again. I hate the way these people act in the South and get away with it. Another reason I regret moving south. Thanks for your impeccable service...

First time here and I would say it's ok. To begin, I walked in and counter person was nice and friendly and Lou red out a menu. I inquired was Shushi only here and she directed me to a page of more offerings. I noticed they had Teriyaki chicken bowl and Hibachi bowl. Found out the Teriyaki bowl had dark meat and teriyaki sauce and the other basically white meat with soy sauce and pepper. I wanted teriyaki sauce but white meat, but was told, they wouldn't put it on the grill but I could get Hibachi but could put the sauce on myself. No biggie, paid and waited at end of counter. The food came up quick but had to wait on the spring roll. The teriyaki chicken was OK but salty. The rice was very dark, almost burnt. The spring roll had a nice paper like shell but drenched in oil; definitely a mistake. Lastly when ordering I was never asked was I eating here or going. They just bagged it to go. This was a let down...
