Joe's Oasis — Restaurant in North Carolina

The male bartender with the tattoos is extremely rude. We have given this place chance after chance and his customer service is horrific. They offer Keno here. Every other person in the place is playing. This is the 3rd time we have tried to play and he’s “too busy to submit the ticket” his attitude every time we ask him to submit the ticket when they offer keno and advertise keno is he’s too busy. The self help machine took our $20, and his poor and rude attitude was “ don’t know what to tell you, my manager is out. You can leave a note or something.” And proceeded to not even care to come over and take our info down to create a note to make things right. Why? Why was he so bothered for paying customers?

So I give him and his trainee another $20 in person and he says “we don’t have time for this, I’m too busy and the only one here.” Clearly trying to leave with his shift over. Don’t OFFER KENO if he’s such a problem for you to help customers play Keno. This keeps happening with the same guy. it is just straight up poor customer service that he continues to exhibit here for people (or at least for me) that are just trying to pay to eat drink and play keno.

Not to mention it takes 30+ minutes to get a simple burger with fries. We told him to please cancel the food and we would just pay our tab and leave. He was so disgruntled and rude he printed off the check, slapped it down in front of us, no apology no thanks for coming in no nothing. As if we were bothering him for trying to go to Joes Oasis for a food and fun. I’m shocked he’s employed here with his terrible customer service and holier than thou attitude. ESPECIALLY whenever we have come in the past we tip well, are polite, ask about how he’s doing etc.

First time coming to this restaurant and must say that it is decent. I went on trivia night and must say I really enjoyed myself. Seems to be the spot for the older crowd. I would give this place 5 stars if it wasn't for my food. I got the Carolina panther. The burger had a lot of flavor, but the reason I got it was it was suppose to have ranch on it, but i tasted no ranch. Also the ranch dressing I recieved with my chips was very running. Not really favorable at all. Also my chips seemed to be overcooked. Really the only thing I had that night that was good was the burger and those pierogies that everyone likes. It was definitely an acquired taste, but I enjoyed it. I also had issues with my beer. My beer was poured before everyone else's drinks in my party. And it seemed to sit at the bar for 10 minutes. By the time I got it it was mildly cold almost luke warm. The refill was cold. I would recommend for trivia night, but I would be weary of their food. I hope your food experience is...

Seriously horrible wait staff. Every. Time. First time there, bartender steals $5 from me while I was playing Keno then tell me I didn't win anything. Owner replies to my email and says bartender was mistaken. Sure. Next few times are fine, presumably because we did not have the same bartender, though others seem undertrained as well. (Carolyn is not one of these. She has great serving skills) Today, screws up my order several times, complains to me about their bad day (and to every other customer. Just bad practice. Have some class when serving), keeps blaming the kitchen for their mistake (bartender wrote it down wrong to begin with) and tries to charge me for their screw up upon bill time. Bartender has to be the owner's spouse or child because holy moly this person would be out so fast at any other restaurant. Get your act together. Otherwise you'll just become...
