I tried this place out a few days ago because, as a pizza professional and someone who values an open-minded mindset, I believe trying new experiences are crucial in life.
A few days ago, I ordered a 14-inch pizza with just cheese because the prices are a little high compared to the surrounding national pizza chains nearby. I have tried those significant chain pizzerias across the country. I have had the opportunity to visit local and notable pizzerias in the Midwest and along the East Coast. When I met clients who had recently moved to North Carolina, I ask about their favorite pizza places. Let me tell you, this pizza joint is in my top three pizza places I’ve ever eaten at in my 27 years of life.
I was talking to my family about the pizza I had the first time a few days ago, and I said my review was still developing because I needed a few days to think about it. Today, I can say with absolute confidence that this pizza is incredibly good. Today, I went all out and got an 18-inch pepperoni pizza with extra sauce, the whole nine yards, and it was an 11 out of 10. Since I’ve flown through social economic status, I’ve started experiencing the finer things in life, and the fact that I can afford this pizza without worrying about the price is a testament to the hard work and determination this country can provide. It’s more expensive than the large carryout pizza at Domino’s, almost twice as much.
But if you’re visiting, hungry, or whatever damn reason you’re in the proximity of this location and you’re looking for a new pizza, this is your sign to get it. Also the staff is so friendly! They’re full of hearts and O’s. I conclude...
Read moreWe have eaten here several times prior and had always been very satisfied and even recommended it to friends. However, tonight we ordered a skillet pizza (almost $35 with just 3 toppings) and when I opened up the box the crust was burnt and the pizza was not correct. The skillet is listed as being 14 inches in diameter which means the crust will be much thicker than usual. I looked at the pizza and the crust was just the normal thickness and had been stretched out to 16 inch diameter which of course made the crust too thin. When I questioned the manager about the discrepancy from the previous pizzas we had before he stated that’s how they had always been. I said no that’s not true I’ve had them here before and they were not like this. He just told me that’s how they make them now and that’s that. So I asked for my money back as there didn’t seemed to be any middle ground. What irritated me even more was when I called in the order I was told the wait time would be 35 minutes until I said I wanted a skillet pizza and then they said it would take an additional 15 minutes because of the thickness But that was a lie because the crust was so thin it would cook just like normal. So I would not recommend this place because if they will not supply what you want then they obviously don’t care about your business. There are way too many places to get good pizza to patronize a place that doesn’t strive to make their customers happy. It...
Read moreWe wanted to support a local business so we gave Za Pie a try. The pizza is pricy for what you get. We paid $25 for a 14inch pepperoni pizza. The cheese is $20 so they charge $5 just to add the pepperoni. The pizza crust was very dry and tough and there was hardly any sauce. We wanted to give everything a fair try so we also got the mozerella sticks, zucchini fries, chicken pesto panini, and apple dessert pizza as well. The mozerella sticks were not gooey, the cheese wasn't melted inside and they tasted like they came from the frozen section of a grocery store. The chicken pesto panini was OK, but the chicken is a breaded patty that you would also find in the frozen food section. The apple desert pizza was disappointing. Again, the crust was dry and tough and its like they took a can of apple pie filing and just dumped it half hazardly on the dough. The zucchini fries were actually pretty good, but that was the only thing we enjoyed on the menu. Lastly, I also got food poisoning after eating here so it's safe to say that we will not be back.
With so many good reviews we were excited to support a local business, but we were incredibly disappointed with our order. Cicis or Little Ceasars is better than Za Pie and that's...
