Junction Springs Cafe is a joke! The food was horrible. We brought our family to visit the zoo and decided to eat at JUNCTION SPRINGS CAFE. Biggest mistake of the day. We spent just over 110.00 for food, burgers and fries. When we got the food, we were told they had no French fries. We even spent extra to get the cheese fries. Wife asked for a refund on the order and the folks that worked there got an attitude with my wife and daughter. They were just lucky I wasn’t there when they got the attitude cause things for sure would have gone differently. They told her no refunds. Gave us chips instead. Our burgers were cold and nasty. Cheese wasn’t even melted on them. Chips even tasted stale. They gave a number to call and no one answered. They even snatched the receipt out of my wife’s hands. The more I write this review, the more upset I get. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE FOR DOOD! Worst experience ever and it just made our day at the zoo a big disappointment. I would love to have someone contact us...
Read moreWe went there on a Thursday. It wasn't overcrowded but it was spring break week so it wasn't deserted either. Unless you bring your own food you are pretty much stuck with what they provide so I was not expecting much. To my surprise the food was great. Granted it was just a burger and chicken tenders but the burger looked good and tasted good. It had fresh, crispy lettuce, tomato, pickles, and the burger was flavorful. The chicken tenders were large, fresh, not greasy, white meat pieces. We got two baskets of fries for 2 adults and 2 kids and there were more fries than we could eat. The fries were hot, crisp, and rivaled anything you could get at a fast food place. We ordered ahead online so we could just pick it up when we got to Junction Plaza. It was ready when they said it would be and as I said, everything was fresh, not like it had made an hour ago and had been sitting around for a while. I see some bad reviews here so maybe I just got lucky but I have nothing to...
Read moreNeed a 0 rating! This place was truly awful and nearly ruined our day at the zoo. We used mobile ordering that was plastered all over the exterior of the building, HUGE MISTAKE! We, along with MANY other disgruntled guests who made the mistake of using mobile ordering, were left waiting for our food anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour! They don't notify you when your food is ready so we all stood inside in a small area waiting for our orders. The people that opted to go inside and wait in line to order received their food in a relatively timely manner, but it was too late for us who used the mobile code outside. To make matters worse, our burgers were cold, and not cooked thoroughly! $32 for 2 burgers that weren't eaten because they were raw! There were 6 of us, 1 ordered chicken fingers and they were cooked, the 5 of us had raw, cold burgers. Look at the cheese, the burger wasn't even warm enough to melt it! Absolutely no excuse for this at THE NC zoo! Avoid...
