I am a pescaterian and have been for 26 years. Today I ordered a Shrimp Hibachi meal but was served a chicken hibachi meal instead. I had the server to take it back and told the cashier that this wasn't what I ordered. She attempted to "convince" me that this was what I ordered. It wasn't what I ordered of course. The cashier took the food back, and 4 minutes later, I was served a Shrimp Hibachi...this order came too fast so I knew that they had taken the chicken off of the tray and "added" shrimp to a chicken contaminated tray. I asked the server and the cashier if this the same plate that was sent back because if so, I did not want it because it was contaminated. They both "assured" me that it wasn't because "they would NEVER do that". I got back to work and looked under the Shrimp, and how about fragments of Chicken was in my tray!!! I was livid! Never should a tray that is sent back as a result of something a customer doesn't eat, be served back to that person. They lied to my face about this not being the same tray after I had asked several times. I left work, to take the tray back and was offered an apology by the very same cashier that lied about it being a totally different plate in the first place. At this point, I only wanted a refund and vowed to never return There again to eat from liars who obviously don't respect my right to remain a pescaterian! Be careful what you are given to eat there...don't trust them to give you what you...
Read moreWe have always loved Shinsen. We started visiting when the small family owned and operated. We have noticed with the new owners things have gone down hill. We have visited several times and have been disappointed with something each time, however last night was our last time spending our hard earned money there. Last night we ordered our usual General Tso's Chicken with LoMein (no carrots), Hibachi Steak with fried rice and carrots and three different sushi rolls. First of all the prices have increased, which we are small business owners and understand business, however you cannot increase the prices and decrease the amount of food given, and the quality of food. I received very little General Tso's Chicken and the small amount of "LoMein" noodles I was given was actually angel hair pasta that had sat there all day long and was hard to the touch, and I was charged for omitting the carrots. The rice with the Hibachi Steak was extremely dry, again hard to the touch as if it had sat there all day long. The only thing that was fresh and any good was the Sushi and that is only because sushi is made to order. Please do your research before spending...
Read moreI usually never bother reviewing places, but this food was honestly terrible. I ordered 2 pork egg rolls, crab Rangoon, orange chicken, and teriyaki chicken. $34. The orange chicken was ok, but was soggy and had very little sauce. Rice was bland with no seasonings. And the carrots were just boiled carrots. Brocolli was plain boiled brocolli, not the fried brocolli with sauce in it. Crab Rangoon had some kind of a sweet filling on the inside, not cream cheese, but they did have a good crunch to them. And then pork egg roll was so greasy we were worried we would get sick if we ate it. Usually, I devour my shrimp sauce, but this was the most tasteless stuff I've ever eaten. I promise you. I'm not a usual complainer, and obviously we hit this restaurant on a bad night or something. I will not be giving it...
