I called in and ordered birria tacos for pick up at 7:30pm. When I got the food home I realized that I had gotten regular beef tacos instead. I called the following and the manager (whom was very friendly) agreed that I had ordered birria tacos but was charged for regular tacos (picture included). She offered to replace my order. I was ecstatic due to the fact that I have never had birria tacos before but had heard they are phenomenal. Today I go in to get my birria tacos and the young lady at the register gladly put in my credited order. I received my food and proceed to check the bag for all the side items and sauces. I notice that there is no dipping broth. I ask the cashier for a side of broth. She comes back and tells me that they ran out of brother earlier that morning. I politely give the food back and ask for a refund. Even I know that the birria tacos are not the same without the broth. Furthermore, if they knew they hadn’t had sauce all day- that is something you tell the customer. Don’t just pass off the order as off everything needed is in the bag. That’s like ordering a Big Mac and they serve it to u with no sauce because they ran out. Needless to say, no matter how nice they are. They lack a certain degree of customer service and I will not be returning.

This has got to be the closest to authentic mexican food that we have had outside of straight from a mexican family member that knows how to cook it right! We travel constantly and every town that we stop in we make it a point to try their local mexican restaurant and throughout have had many excellent meals but this place has by far been the best yet, they have authentic NAILED head on! If your looking for the real deal, this is your place! Throw in $1.25 tacos for "Taco Tuesday", homemade shells and chips and you can't go wrong here!

Stopped in to see how the Mexican cuisine compares to my old spots. It wasn't a fair comparison since I was visiting burrito stands close to the border. But San Luis held its own very well. From the interior, to the smells and tastes and costs.. It was indistinguishable. Very likely you won't find anything better for the price in this area. The al pastor burrito was huge for the cost, and the taco salad (carne asada) came in a delicious shell. I got a side of rice and taco salad as well, both were great.

If you want simple, traditional, and fresh, this is the place to go. The food is simple and delicious. The menu is short, and sticks to the reliable favorites. You order your food up front and seat yourself. They bring the food to you and you clear your own table. The no frills approach works well in this small restaurant with around 10 tables. Around mealtime this place is always busy but they seem to find room for everyone at the tables. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area and is worth checking out. The tacos are the best thing on the menu, but there are plenty of other delicious choices...

Honestly the food is great which is the reason my wife and I drive 1 hour from Jacksonville when we crave this deliciousness. For some reason everytime we come when it clearly states on the Flippin website it's open its Flippin closed. Like the audacity, now we have to resort coming here to Taco Loco which we are eating here now. I really hope they fix this issue because I'm getting tired of it and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. And if you guys ever read your reviews know I love you but please update your customers for...
