Looking for a homemade breakfast when visiting Ladson, South Carolina, Eggs Up Grill has quickly become a go-to spot for breakfast, brunch, and lunch enthusiasts. With its inviting atmosphere and impressive menu, it’s no wonder this restaurant draws a loyal crowd. Our experiences there were consistently delightful, largely thanks to our wonderful server, Amaya.
From our very first visit, Amaya made a lasting impression with her warm and friendly demeanor. She was attentive without being overbearing, and her knowledge of the menu made choosing our meals a breeze. Each time we returned, she greeted us like old friends, enhancing our dining experience.
On our initial visit, I opted for the shrimp and grits, a dish that left me absolutely astounded. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, succulent and bursting with flavor, nestled atop a bed of creamy, well-seasoned grits that were rich and comforting. The dish struck an ideal balance of textures and tastes, truly showcasing the culinary prowess of the kitchen. I found myself savoring every bite, thoroughly impressed.
On our second visit, I decided to try the Classic breakfast. It was a satisfying choice—fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and perfectly toasted bread made for a hearty, comforting meal. It was simple yet executed flawlessly, demonstrating the restaurant’s commitment to quality.
Stephen’s choice of pancakes was a highlight of both visits. These pancakes were incredibly fluffy and served with a generous drizzle of maple syrup. I couldn't resist snagging a few bites, and they did not disappoint; they were light and delicious, making it clear why they are a favorite on the menu.
The ambiance at Eggs Up Grill adds to the overall experience. The decor is cheerful and inviting, with a casual, family-friendly vibe that makes it a perfect spot for brunch with friends or a laid-back family meal. The restaurant is always bustling with energy, yet the layout ensures that it doesn’t feel cramped, allowing for comfortable dining.
The extensive menu is a treasure trove of breakfast and lunch options, catering to a variety of tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty breakfast burrito, a light salad, or one of their many creative omelets, there’s something for everyone. Each dish we tried was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, adding an extra touch of care to the meal.

Read moreThis location is disappointing at best. I have had several less than ideal experiences related to this location with take out orders. Typically, the orders I have placed have been ready when I have arrived to pick them up. However, today’s experience was by far the worst.
The first time I ordered the crispy bacon and cheddar bowl from this location (by phone), I requested it with no peppers and a side of sour cream. It came with peppers, no sour cream, and most of the potatoes were too burnt to eat. I then attempted to place the same order online at a later date. There is no option to add any additional sides (such as sour cream) via this method. Due to this, I then went back to placing my orders via phone. I believe I have only received the side of sour cream once out of the many times I have placed this order. Due to not getting sour cream when requested, I have since changed my order to avocado toast with eggs over medium and a half side of bacon.
This morning, I placed my order, online, at 0620. After placing my order, the website said it would be ready at 0635. I also received a confirmation email/receipt indicating that my order would be ready for pick up at 0635. I arrived to the store to pick up my order at 0636. I was told it would be just a few more minutes before my order was ready. I then waited another thirteen minutes before my order was brought to me. Once I got into my car, I checked to ensure that my order was correct and complete. Unfortunately, my order was not complete. I went back into the store to obtain the half side order of bacon that was missing and was told it would be just a few minutes. About three minutes later, I was given the bacon and informed that they had added an extra two slices.
I suppose I should have just stuck with the crispy bacon and cheddar bowl with no peppers and a side of sour cream since they do not charge for the item they always forget with that order. Also, an extra two slices of bacon does not really make up for the extra sixteen minutes I had to wait before I was able to leave with a...
Read moreFood was pretty good but unfortunately I’m giving it a 2 because we were missing the kids grilled cheese sandwich with one of our kids meals..... the entre was actually missing lol. It honestly wasn’t even a big deal..... child had her sides to start eating while we got her sandwich..... the sandwich , by the way, is one single piece of bread, cut in half - with cheese in it...... something that probably costs them 25 cents to make..... so we patiently wait for our server to return and alert her that our child’s sandwich was missing..... expecting her to go get it...... no big deal. BUT instead.... Christina replied with “ no it wasn’t ..... it’s only a half of a sandwich .” I said..... I realize that, but we didn’t get that either, at which point she said..... yes you did. I saw it with my own eyes and I’m the one who handed it to you .” After a few more exchanges she finally conceded that she only brought one of the 2 children’s grilled cheese plates and said she would go get the other grilled cheeses. At this point I told her I didn’t appreciate the argument over it and her response was “ I didn’t argue- it was an honest mistake.” Everyone at the table was mind blown. ( 3 of the 5 adults at the table are servers by the way !) Who on earth is going to lie about missing one piece of bread- meanwhile we ordered all the most expensive things on the menu for the 5 adults at the table. And if it were just an honest mistake ( which I assumed it was from the beginning...... when it was no big deal at all......) she could have just been like , Sorry.... I will go grab that for you. That would have been the end of it, rather than her accusing us of lying over one piece of bread with cheese in it. What on earth. I will not return...... there’s no shortage of good places to eat in Charleston so no need to pay someone to be rude to me.
Truly...
