China Wok — Restaurant in North Charleston

I cant give a lower score than 3 because honestly, the food is pretty great. HOWEVER, the service is always unpleasant and the location is a regular spot, so a 3 star rating it is.

My first experience, I called and placed an order, they advised 15 - 20 mins. I arrived 30 mins after calling and when I arrived is when they started cooking and it I waited over half an hour for the food. I'm assuming they gave me a free egg roll. Since my second experience (explained below) I was told my same order does not come with an egg roll and I had to "pay extra"

My second and last experience, I arrived and placed the same order, but was charged more. Besides the fact that they over charged me, once again I waited 40 mins for the food to be handed to me. People came and left and my food was still "being cooked." When I asked why they took so long the lady upfront gave me attitude and said "you have chicken and broccoli, just wait."

Moral of my experience, don't order the chicken with broccoli and egg fried rice if you're on crunch time; and arrive with patience as a good experience is not guaranteed.

We’ve been ordering from here for the past couple years. While the food taste great, we’ve noticed them really skimping out on the ingredients, especially when it comes to the meat. We used to get the bourbon chicken all the time but then they started putting more veggies in it than the chicken and charge the same amount. Not only has the price of the food sky rocketed, they also stopped putting an appropriate amount of meat in their dishes. We’ve even noticed that they don’t put nearly as much general tso chicken in their large dishes as they used to and it’s no longer worth the amount of money they charge. I ordered Mongolian beef for the first time and it was literally all just onions. There was maybe 5 small pieces of beef and they charge well over $13 to $14 for the dish…when in reality they gave me $3 worth of onions. This will be the last time we order from here. Absolutely ridiculous that they are taking peoples money for mostly just vegetables....

I’m a door dasher & I was a customer. I personally haven’t ate here in a while because of the wait time. I ordered an hour & a half early before my lunch break & came to pick up my food & had to wait my entire lunch break to get me food which to me defeats the purpose of calling it in. Now as a doordasher, people like this food idk why. But they do. Every time I come here they just look at me no greetings no acknowledgement at all actually. Every time & I mean every time I come to pick up an order, I have to wait at least 30 minutes, so to those customers blaming the door dashers or any delivery drivers ITS NOT OUR FAULT!! I’m typing this now as I wait on two door dash orders because it’s ridiculous. I swear if it wasn’t for the money I wouldn’t pick up from here anymore. The service is ass, the food is maybe 2 stars & that’s being generous & the atmosphere sucks. The workers have no hospitality or good customer...
