Well I finally found up in the North Lake county area an underrated Thai Japanese restaurant in Waukegan. I have to say wow because I came from another Thai restaurant experience in Gurnee Illinois called Royal Thai and it's ironic that that restaurant look more formal outside by the strip mall in this place is right next to the naval exchange in the ambience outside doesn't look like it's fancy but yet the food and the interior is unsuspectedly great and authentic. Originally I was supposed to come here with a friend but she had gotten sick with the common cold so I ended up making this a bucket list for myself to try it for dinner instead of a lunch. Started with the Thai iced tea and it was tastefully delicious and sweet just like how they do it in authenticity. When I went to Royal Thai resturant in Gurnee it did not even taste right when they made Thai iced tea last year. I was amazed also at the owner who has great personality and service as she was accommodating next to how fast they delivered the fish cakes that I ordered as an appetizer with the cucumber salad and that tasted authentically great. The server and owner also delivered at the same time the Green curry and chicken and it tasted very authentic as compared to Royal Thai. Next to the right amount of Thai Jasmine steam rice that was cooked just right. Not too dry in rice cooker which means it also could be old white rice but it was NOT. All in all I was impressed from this diamond hidden in shady neighborhood in Waukegan/ North Chicago area. Do come here during dinner as well as for lunch but I heard it gets busy because of the US Navy and US Marine base over here as the customers are...

This place is very close to the Recruiting Training Center for the Navy seals and we were here celebrating the graduation of a family member, if you want to eat from paper plates this is the place, if you want the owner of the restaurant to yell and scream at you because the food was spicier than you expected, this is the place, she was extremely rude and yelling in the back of the kitchen because the food was to spicey. We did ask for medium spice and as we have had many Thai food, this was by far so spicey that you couldn’t even enjoy it. I would of allowed them to remake but the attitude of the owner made me not want anything else from this restaurant . We also found hair in our other plate on top of the other issue. As she became super rude and I personally don’t want anyone making my food with that attitude. I wouldn’t say the food was nasty as it was very good but the attitude from the owner was not what I would want to spend my money on. It’s unfortunate that she has to act in this manor if there is a issue with the food because the food is actually really good. I won’t say service is horrible because The young lady at the front was super nice and friendly. I feel so bad she has to work for someone who runs there business in that manor. Over all I would never eat in this location again. I would say if you want to try there food order it and run. And hope that you don’t run into a issue with your food because the owner will yell at you and then yell...

I love the food from here! We always get the Ramen to go and they put the noodles and broth in separate containers, so then the noodles don't get all squishy. They also put the tempura in a separate container if you get the tempura Ramen. My husband aays that the ramen from here js the closest hes had to the ramen he ate when he was stationed in Japan. The tempura is pretty good, but the broccoli gets so greasy because of the florets, which is not very appetizing. Sometimes, the sweet potato tempura is hard. Even with that, I would still recommend it! We have also gotten chicken tonkatsu, which is delicious! You could just drink the sauce; it's that good! They also have a drive thru to pick up your order, so you don't even have to get out of your car. This place is easy to pass by and not even notice, but you should refinitely...

So, this is a cozy little spot if you are eating in and it is very clean. I always get pad Thai if it’s on a restaurants menu, but the cook said it wasn’t ready. So, I went with the spicy basil fried rice, bbq steamed buns, crab Rangoon and a Thai iced tea. I am so glad I did! That steamed bun was like Texas bbq meets pillowy soft buns. If you have a significant other who doesn’t like to try new food but likes bbq, start then with this. My husband had the pineapple fried rice and the sushi and he said it was very good. I was craving Thai, and I was a little uncertain about this place but it’s highly recommended. Make sure you get the Thai iced tea. It’s almost like a milk shake meets a sweet tea. They were also very reasonably priced and we had plenty of left overs. Yum! #happytummy

The taste of the orange chicken was very like nothing. It was orange but it was nasty as hell. With slices of oranges on the crap. The fish cakes were super small and tasted like rubber. Then i had a large house rice Special as you can never go wrong with it. So I thought. It was so small oh my God what I thought was a large was not even enough for my 4 yr old. And the Type of pie, a salad picture on the web is false advertisement for the size that they give. Excuse the after people picked over the food pictures but those are the bushes that’s what it looks like this is horrible for $45 I would not recommend going to this place if you want to get the most for your money that is not this place you might as well go home and cook
