PART 1:
This was the first time I've tried this place. My Boyfriend and I couldn't find anything good to eat and I found this place on Google. We were already on the road and not too far so we went. I called and Placed My Order for Pick Up / Take Out. I Wanted A Full Rack Of Ribs. She Said They have Spare Ribs Or Baby Backs. I Chose The Baby Backs. I Was shocked by the Fact The Meal Comes with THREE 3 Sides!! I ended up getting Fries, Hush Puppies, and Their Coleslaw. All This Was Just About $18; With Taxes, We Paid $19.19 More or Less. I Usually Pay Around $17 for a Half Rack Or About $25 For A Full Rack; Even then They Charge For Fries separately And You Get Two Free Slices Of Bread. That Was Not the Case Here. When I Ordered, She told Me 20 minutes Wait time. We Were Already Close By. They also provide the option to pick up at the counter inside or outside at one of their windows. I Chose the Counter. When we arrived I could smell the delicious bbq already!! We passed the windows and we could see the workers and Cooks in the kitchen. My Boyfriend and I Sat on a bench outside by the door. We just chilled and talked for a bit. The vibe indoors was very happy and You can tell people and their families were enjoying themselves!! (Please watch your Step while going in and out. Very high and narrow walkway.) We Decided To Go Inside after 22 minutes from my Call. We waited a minute for the perdon in front of us to pay and leave and we were next . I told them I came for my pick up and gave my name. We paid and signed the receipt. They asked what sauce we wanted. They had BBQ Regular, Sweet, or Spicy. I Asked if the sauce was the topping or a side. They said it was a side. I asked for both regular and sweet. They gave me both for no extra fee and they were pretty big too. I let them know it was my first time there and they smiled.
After, we were on our way home. The Smell was divine and mouthwatering!! But we still waited until we came home. At Home, I opened the plate and just WOW!!
As You can tell from the pictures, It's Just Beautiful!! Okay, So, We got 6 Hush Puppies, No Corn. A Medium sized bath of Fries; All cooked perfectly and thick, not hard either. Two Slices Of Bread; Grilled and Buttered; Not Toasted Or Crunchy, But Just As Good. šš (You can heat it up in the microwave or anywhere to make it a bit crunchier. I Did this accidentally and ended up regretting it after, š š), Oh, And The Coleslaw. Surprisingly, There were no pieces or at least nothing big; instead of cuts, it seemed mushed a bit; maybe better foe people who like the texture change. Anyways, The Coleslaw Was Really Good!! Not Watery Or Had Too Much Sauce (Mayo??), Came In A Really Big Cup Too; Couldn't Even Finish It All. Only Thing Was That It Came Cold, Like Really Cold. But By The Time I Ate It, It Wasn't Too Too Cold. Just Right!! šš
Now To the Main Dish, The RIBS!! So Just From Observation/Looking, It Was Cut In Half to fit the plate. It smelled GREAT!! It Already had a bit of sauce. The lengths of the ribs however, very very short; I'm talking about the rib stick/bone itself. Not The Two Racks. Unfortunately Too, There Wasn't Much Meat Either, More Bone Than The Meat. Now As For Everything Else: The Ribs Could be eaten as is, with no BBQ sauce side if You'd Prefer. Very Soft, Can Come Off The Bone with little Help. To Rate The Sauces, The Regular, was good, Not Too Smoky. I Loved The Sweet BBQ Sauce Though!! My Boyfriend Enjoyed The Regular.

Iām normally here 2 to 3 times out the month for the all you can eat chicken special always such nice happy smiling faces here. I love this place and always recommend. Tonight I got Shelby for the first night upon ordering I asked for utensils and the roll of napkins was empty. Just the one Sheet that was wrapped around the bare roll. When I placed my first order when she brought it out I noticed it was extremely dried out. The food is always good here this time it wasnāt as Iāve done in the past Iāve politely asked hey do you think you can get me a less well done piece Shelby walks to the kitchen, goes to the door and looks back to see if Iām looking at her goes into the kitchen immediately comes back out and brings the same Plate to the table. I stopped her to ask about it. She said that the cook in the kitchen said itās going to be the same thing. They all look the same which I strongly felt she was lying to me. āPLEASE SEE THE VIDEO ATTACHED HEREā
Never received a Refill The Roll of paper towel towels were brought out. She took the plastic off of it and put it at the table in front of us the empty table in front of us. I canāt even make this up. There were only two people in her section Iām not sure what this is. Iāve literally been here two dozen times and never experienced this before.
No, Refill never brought napkins to the table brought utensils as we were already burnt out and ready to leave and already standing up . I used to really love this place. I will not be coming back and thatās not really fair. I donāt know what was going on tonight, but Iāve asked before if I can get some better pieces and every time Get a smile and say Iām sorry about that and brought out fresh pieces either that or say weāll make you some if you can wait a little bit with a smile on there face NOT WHAT HAPPENED TONIGHT WITH COMING BACK OUT AND DROPPING THE PLATE ON THE TABLE LIKE IāM NOT GOING TO NOTICE! Unacceptable I spoke with two young Young ladies on the way out really nice people and told them about my situation and they say this is not a representation of us. Sorry you went through that and Iāll speak to a manager on my behalf about this. One last thing the bill was $28. I gave her a 50 she did not give me back my chain. She walked off and just left it on top of the counter register at the front and walked in the back. WHAT IS THIS? WHY DOES SHE HAVE A JOB THERE? My order. Beef brisket, beans, tater salad, cole slaw.
The best part of the meal was the garlic toast & tater salad. Though the tater salad could have used some onions.
The brisket was horrible. Tough and NO spices. Not even S & P.
They are known for their beans. They just suck. Beans just cooked in water. The bbq beans are made with left over brisket, their nasty sauce and other.
This is a good example of the VERY bland taste buds of floridians.
The servers are wonderful. It not their fault the food is badly made.
Well I was hoping for a gr8t BBQ place. My first time out was truly disappointing. Maybe my choice of the slice beef lunch special was a bad choice. IT REALLY SUCK. It was tough and tasteless even with the 2 choices of sauces. The sauces were not very impressive. NOT very spicy . DID not thrill me.
I arrived at 1107 AM on a Saturday. Greeted promptly and seated. Waitress was outstanding- service was good. FOOD I THINK NOT!!!!
My fries were cold and the garlic bread was texas style slice with butter and garlic on the griddle. Sweet tea is just so-so.
Beside the servers the only other bright light was good cole slaw, made on the premises.
I will try it again and do the pulled pork and hushpuppies or beans. But it will be a while.
BACK A SECOND TIME Well I was in the mood for bbq and I thought I give Smoke a second chance.
When I drove into the lot I saw 7-8 black vultures behind the place feasting in the dumpster. I just thought it was funny scene.
Anyway I order the beef,pork,chix, & spare ribs platter. Along with cole slaw ,The so call gr8t beans and sweet sauce.
The good stuff: cole slaw chopped fine a bit tart but good, BBQ sauce sweet and tasty, service excellent and quik.
The so-so stuff: the beans Once again a tribute to Floridians do not know good food. Beans tasted like it had cilantro or some Spanish spice. NOTHINg to crow about. Ribs very smoky but did not fall off the bone. chix ok. beef and such the same.
