Jacktown Ride & Hunt Club — Restaurant in North Huntingdon Township

I have been a Member of the Jacktown Ride & Hunt Club beginning over 60 years ago. Always paid my Membership Dues before they were due. Went To Dinner a few weeks ago. Ordered my Dinner and the Dinner comes with a Salad & potato or Vegetable. I asked My Server if they use Ice-Berg Lettuce, as Due to my Health, I am only permitted Ice-Berg Lettuce. My server told me it is Mixed Greens. I asked if I could substitute th Mixed Green salad for the dinner cooked Vegetable of the day.. After taking My order, the Server came back and told me the Chef said "We do NOT Substitute" Come now, I thought being a Member of a Private Club, The Club should accommodate it s Members. Did I ask for something Special ? I wrote a letter to Management with my complaint, Did not hear back. Sent an e-mail requesing my Dues for 2026 & my contribution towards the Building Fund to be retured, as I do not wish to be a Member any longer. Never had a ...

So I’ve been a member for sometime. The food is good sometimes over thought. I supported the club through Covid by frequenting and doing a larger membership to support the club and the workers by over tipping significantly to help the community. The club didn’t send me a renewal letter and I spoke to Jackie in house about it and she told me it had happened to others that they would reach out to me for renewal information. I proceeded to the bar for dinner and was told if I didn’t renew immediately I couldn’t be served and was excused to the streets. I like to look at things and make my decisions. It’s fine I grew up in the streets but earned my way to the finer things. After being excused I reached out to Jackie VIA telephone but she was too busy to take my call. What a slap in the face! Currently at Texas Roadhouse waiting to be served a lovely meal without the peasantry treatment. I’m not offended but betrayed for my love and support I offered in hard times! Good luck!...

This place is so near and dear to my heart. My husband was a member for years before he met me, and I’ve been a member with him for the past few years. The service is excellent. The food is also excellent, and they are very accommodating with my celiac and needing to have things prepared gluten free. The wine pours are heavy. They are also in the process of redecorating the inside, and it looks great. This is by far my favorite place to go out for a special event with friends or just eat a great meal...
